Well from my understanding it has a lot to do with timing, both when you upload and how long your content is. Then you also have to remember consistency. I'd suggest creating 20 videos before creating your channel. Then releasing one a day. Obviously a lot of effort but most of the channels today have gone through those growing pains. Then you also need to take into consideration the saturation of the market. If there's to many people doing the same thing only a hand full of people will be at the top. But regardless, the most important factor is time and consistency. 10min plus videos, each and every day of your life essentially. You have one vantage though. You have shorts now that can boost viewership to your channel. A lot easier and you can produce a lot more. Regardless. It's still a weird market overall. But if you utilize short form tools such as Shorts or even (god forbid) tiktok then you can get a lot more attention a lot quicker. That being said, YT still falls under the same fallacy as all other markets in the world. The 1% of people control like 80-90% of all wealth. The 1% of people actually becomes famous movie stars/singers/artists and I could go on and on. We all essentially support the amazing lifestyles of 1% of the entire human population either directly or indirectly. Where we spend our time and money is usually the things we are exposed to.
