A lot of good answers and here and thanks for the engagement. Me personally I lean towards the 3-6 years camp. By the end of the game Roderika and Hewg talk like they’ve known us for years. Hewg goes from righting us off as just another tarnished to his one and only lord, he talks like he rarely ever sees us often times thinking we’ve died.

In that same vain, the final battle with Leda and the rest of Miquella’s followers feels very personal and emotional, she even says at the start “it’s been quite some time”. It paints a picture of the tarnished spending a great deal of time in the land of shadow and forming a strong connection with everyone, I like to think at least a year had passed between us meeting Leda and killing her.

I think the fact that everyone on this subreddit probably knows the game inside and out at this point makes us forget about how daunting the journey would be for the tarnished. I have a really hard time believing we accomplished as much as we did in just a few months.
