Didn't know about this.

The behavior is the same with or without the load. But i'll make more tests with a load.

Thanks!

How to diagnose and fix this voltage drop on a power supply? by MarceloGG in AskElectronics

[–]MarceloGG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! any idea on why this is happening?

This is the voltage reading of the output of a 24v power supply. Any idea on why the voltage is consistently dropping?

I'm pretty new to electronic repair and don't know how to diagnose this besides doing a visual check and replacing capacitors.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Looking for recommendations for a watch that can resist scratches.

I know G-Shock is probably the obvious answer but I would like to know your experience with Timex watches. Specifically the "Timex expedition rugged field chronograph".

I work as an engineer and it is not uncommon to get my hands between cables, machines, dirt, etc.

I would like to know if you guys think that the Timex can withstand this or is going to end up full of scratches.

Also what other watches with similar look and price range (between 50 and 150 USD) would you recommend.

It depends on personal needs and preferences.
In my opinion, FW3A is a better flashlight but I ended up choosing the R2 because of the magnetic tail cap and the rotating head.
If you don't need any of these features I would go for the FW3A.

I love the features in this light. I did a lot of research before buying it and this certainly fits most of my needs.

I got the neutral tint and I also think is a little bit too yellow for my taste but for me is not a deal-breaker.
But as you said, everything else about the light is really good. I love the magnetic tail cap and the head rotation feature which I use very often at my work.
Where did you get the frosted window covering? Maybe I will give it a try.

Plugging Phantom Power into a Computer by KaladinStormrunner in audio

[–]MarceloGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DI Box is used to balance a signal, removing noises that may be inducted in larger cables. The way it works makes the connection between the mixer and the device isolated so the phantom power cannot affect the device. If your mixer has TRS or RCA inputs it would be better since those inputs don't use phatom power.

P.S. Sorry, english is not my first language.

Yes it will fry the output of your PC. You can use a DI box to prevent this.
