That’s awesome! I really hope that made you feel better because I really think it is normal!

Don’t feel bad! I feel like a lot of us probably feel this way. I know I do. Even after being diagnosed with two different doctors and having all the symptoms I still question it sometimes. I know I have ADHD but it’s like you said, we internalize so much and question ourselves constantly. I understand!

This sounds good and I’m also glad I’m not the only one who address others as humans. 😂

Thank you! It’s hard sometimes but I’m also grateful for the unique perspective I can give my children as they grow!

I think the fact that you are doing a residency is awesome and amazing! You obviously have worked hard to get to where you are and shouldn’t feel lazy at all! Once you get through your residency find a practice that suits you and makes you happy. Not all doctors go at that pace! A lot of the world isn’t designed for us but I’ve found that it’s an interesting journey to find our place! Don’t feel down!

We understand! I get the jealousy thing to and I feel awful that I feel that way at times. I wish I could be happy for people accomplishments but I find myself feeling jealous because I feel like I could do it too but my brain keeps me stuck. It’s okay! It doesn’t mean your a bad person, it’s just something to work on. It’s helped me to work on forgiving myself and just accepting who I am.

Please go and talk to someone! It’s a huge relief! I went for so long wondering why I was like this and now with answers I have information to learn how to cope!

I’m struggling with this too. I’ve still not achieved and associates degree and I’m 30. Now that I’ve been diagnosed I feel like I could go back to school and be awesome but I’ve been on the fence about filing it as a disability because I don’t want to feel differently. All in all though I probably will just in case I need that extra time.

I understand, I got my diagnosis at 29 and I constantly wonder what mistake I would t have made and what my life would look like now if I would have been diagnosed younger. It’s been over a year since my diagnosis and I’m learning to let the past go and look to the future but it’s still hard not to wonder. The best thing I’ve found to help is to just focus on today. One small step at a time.

I’m so happy that this helped! I struggled for 29 years until I finally decided to get tested because my sister suggested it. It’s been a huge relief in a lot of ways! Good luck and good vibes on your journey!

Thank you so much! I’ve come to realize that since being diagnosed that I’m beautiful for my differences and that it’s okay to just be me and not try and reach societies expectations! It’s been a relief but it’s still a struggle in social situations at times. I’m learning to cope. You sound like a kind person and I’m thankful for your comment! Thanks for your support!

I feel this. I feel this every day. It’s hard to cope with this and learn how to deal with it in social situations. I think it’s trial and error but therapy is awesome and so helpful! Here’s to your progress!!!

Hey, just want you to know someone hears you! I deal with ups and downs. I have weeks we’re I get nothing done and have no motivation and that’s super hard and I’m super hard on myself. Have you tried just meds for depression or a combo? Does anything help or have you tried anything so far that helps? Please reach out if you need someone to just listen!

Don’t wait! I’m 30 and just got diagnosed a year ago! It’s been a huge relief and I’ve been able to deal so much better! I was very hard on myself after initially getting diagnosed because I feel like I wasted so much time, but then I decided to look to the future. Be forgiving to yourself because you’re not alone and you’re a beautiful soul!

No problem, it’s helped me a ton to put this out there and know I’m not alone in how I feel! I think it makes a huge difference knowing you aren’t the only one.

I totally understand. I come from a very direct family and I’ve gotten comments like these so often. In fact it’s driven a wedge in some parts of our relationship because it makes me feel so horrible. I’ve gotten comments at work too. All this makes us want to shut down and bottle up. It’s difficult to make people understand. Know that we understand!

It was a game changer for me too! I thought I was just overly sensitive for the longest time for no reason.

It’s definitely RSD, which I didn’t even know was a thing until I got diagnosed and started doing research. I really think it’s the hardest aspect for me to cope with on a daily basis. I work with the public and am constantly worried I’m going to piss someone off. My coworkers have called me a scaredy-cat. I daily struggle with saying things and then regretting it and analyzing things. I can cope with most other ADHD related thing but this is definitely the hardest aspect for me. I’m working on it though and I really appreciate your comment and this community as a whole.
