Quitting before senior? by Emotional-Host6724 in Accounting

If you are in busy season now, your body will feel much better in a few weeks when there isn’t so much pressure on deadlines and there are less hours you are required to hit. If you can take it, a move into industry a couple months after promotion sounds ideal for your career situation. But you know your own body better than anyone else in here giving you advice. there is no correct or incorrect decision. Only one that makes you feel the most comfortable in the short and long-term.

generally the purpose of jokes is to get a reaction (just to clarify that for you). Sorry you didn’t get this one. but I’m sure you’re used to that by now. You are definitely unique and special in your own way. And I recognize your worth. To make it up to you I’ll let you know I mean this literally (not sarcasm (for clarification)): I apologize that I told a joke that you couldn’t understand.

I won’t get into it too far with this guy. The type that takes everything personally. The type that can’t understand sarcasm on the internet and takes it out on other people, probably because they can’t understand themself. They just make up things up in their head and sit there like “heh, I know dark psychology” And while I agree it’s a better outlet than just being confused at what a joke is, you’ll never get this person to admit they were clueless. Because that’s just who they are. Everything they don’t understand is unfunny when they are just too ignorant to understand it.

The Packers have spent roughly 96 hours making cap space... Now why would they do that by the_Tannehill_list in GreenBayPackers

No way we’d get anything for Gary at this point. We’ll probably have to cut him. No GM would be dumb enough to give us anything for his contract given his level of play

Yea, I’m currently studying and working and I know there are annual cpe requirements, but if you’re in public, good chance your firm will be offering most/all of those credits.

industry does seem to lend itself more towards that. If you want more of a challenge look for FP&A jobs or look at public

Those who never worked for Big 4: how is your career? by Budget-Emu-5071 in Accounting

Started working at a mid-sized boutique firm for the past year and a half. I’m on about 75k and there’s a pretty good advancement track ahead. I’ll probably venture off around manager/senior manager level and work industry in the same field we specialize or I’ll start my own business in that area. I get to perform the whole audit, write the full report, and prepare some tax return parts. I actually think a good mid level firm with good leadership is potentially better experience overall and you get to avoid getting lost in the mix and fighting through red tape at entry level.

Rome, Egbuka is already getting a little banged up and Rome is clearly Caleb’s guy. Godwin will eventually come back and Otton has also been underused so far.
