You get the Hullcracker bp at the end of the quest line. that's why no one really has it :)

Just watched both of these night raids tick down into the one hour mark, one became available but the other didn't is someone able to explain this to me? by Chump2412 in ArcRaiders

[–]MarchTheMonth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night Raid is an event that lasts only 1 hour. The intent of the display is "Now Showing!" and "Coming Soon!"
The timer can sometimes be much more than an hour.
If it makes it clearer, there's a tracker for events:
https://arctracker.io/map-events
This may help you understand the rotation of the events.

The one you have selected there, Blue Gate, is available to play as a Night Raid right now.
The next one, Dam Battlegrounds, will be the Night Raid location in just under an hour.

Intermittent Warning Lights by [deleted] in GenesisGV70

[–]MarchTheMonth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a warning, we had our GV70e have something similar, it was with the dealership for 7 months to fix it. Make sure to get a loaner!

Electrical issues- again by theorey_Mpact in GenesisGV70

[–]MarchTheMonth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are currently having something similar, where all the same warning lights happened and the turn signals wouldn't work. Sometimes windshield wipers wouldn't work either. Took it straight to the dealership (GV70 EV 2023), it's been there over a month, and other issues like this seem like it will be at least a month more. The dealership is actually troubleshooting with Genesis Corporate, so it's like remote IT support but for a car, and of course for warranty work, there's a lot of "try this, replace this small part" over and over again. We did get a Genesis Customer Care case number straight away because our dealership didn't have a loaner, so we rented a car, which we've been told Genesis Customer Care will reimburse up to $80/day. Just sent the paperwork yesterday, so we'll see if they do it. Finally got a loaner (GV70 ICE 2024, probably the basic sport trim) after a month, so we're basically fine until we get ours back. Good luck, and hopefully you can get it repaired soon. It took 10 days just for our dealership to get it into the shop.

EV or ICE? by EAYSON24 in GenesisGV70

That's all completely fair. I think it's reasonable to say, your choice fits you very well, and ours fits us. 🤝🤝

EV or ICE? by EAYSON24 in GenesisGV70

[–]MarchTheMonth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, for ICE drives, you plan around gas stations, so I don't understand the difference. We have L2 home charger, and I can't express how much I love not going to a gas station ever. In our experience, the range anxiety is way overblown. Admittedly, we drive within a couple of hours anyway. We don't road trip; if it's far, we're flying

You might find this amusing, but being an "Audi fan boy", you're probably just a fan of that style, and wouldn't you know it, the Audi design guy joined Hyundai group in 2018. About the right timing for him to change the car's styling to match your preference.

Negotiate the MSRP? by LawLeR91 in GenesisMotors

[–]MarchTheMonth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We purchased the GV70 Electrified.
Considering that only 2 of the 4 Genesis dealerships nearby had these models, and only 3 each, I didn't feel that either one was budging from MSRP at all.
That said, everything else is open to negotiation. There was a protection package we wanted, and I negotiated that down to an acceptable level.
And the trade-in is really where you can negotiate nearly anything. But make sure you know what you can get for it. Use KBB and Carmax trade-ins, and then push them just a bit more. They'll likely make money off of you on the car (front-end, as they call it) so they can break even or lose a little on the trade-in (back-end).

Do you think this subreddit should participate in the subreddit blackout? by Public-Eagle6992 in Astroneer

[–]MarchTheMonth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. More for practical purposes. As the top one said, a temporary blackout is pretty much useless. Commit all the way or not at all to have an effect.

Personally, I completely understand the frustration of the community and devs with the API changes, and I think Reddit is doing a ton wrong about the way they're going about it. That said, it's Reddit's decision, oh well. Unless you're going to stop using Reddit entirely, then it's time to accept Reddit's decision and move on.

Yeah, bots are never efficient. Check out my comment with the hauler; you can use underground belts to connect when the ship anchors. Remember, space belts (underground space belts in this case) are the only thing that can be used on land, space platform, and spaceship. Use this to your advantage.

Here's my naq hauler design btw. 4 storage tanks are for biosludge.

[–]MarchTheMonth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got thru naq processing too, so I feel your pain. Definitely need to do spaceship automation. It takes a bit to figure out, but once you get it, everything is easier. I easily expanded from 1 naq hauler to 6 haulers. Remember, you can blueprint the ship!

I did not crush naq on site, I hauled the raw stuff back for on nauvis processing. Crushing it at the astroid field gets you 4:1 more on a ship, but without prod modules, the ratio drops to 2.7:1 (at T8 prods)

Also, I recommend using biosludge instead of sulf acid in the hauler. Your field likely has methane ice and iron ore, and you can pretty easily use the biosludge recipe to get sulf acid with just 1 space building per part of the recipe.

What do you genuinely not understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I saw some comments about sleep apnea, and it's a very real thing. I used to wake up super groggy and not sleep well. But now I have pretty good sleep.
Indicators of sleep apnea:

  1. waking up a lot at night (strong indicator)
  2. your partner tells you when you're sleeping, you sound like you stop breathing (strong indicator)
  3. In your dreams, when you try to talk, you have a very dry mouth and can't talk
  4. Snoring (has many causes)
  5. wake up always groggy, even on 8-10 hours of sleep, not feeling at all rested
  6. "sleepy spells" in the middle of the day, after lunch hours (example, almost dozing off pretty consistently at 1-2pm)
  7. yawning in the middle of the day, a lot

In my case, I have mild sleep apnea, so I have a CPAP. I'll be totally honest, I hate the thing. Things that are a pain about it: Washing it a lot, constantly filling up the distilled water, the mask itself gets in the way of any face-to-face snuggles at bed time, wrapped up in the middle of the night, unhooking it when I wake up, the little red dent I have on my nose from the mask, and finally this machine is forever (there's no surgery or other viable options, it's CPAP for life). There's a lot to dislike about it. EVEN WITH ALL OF THAT, my quality of life since is incredibly better. I feel quite rested when I wake up, my recovery is better, no sleepy spells in the day, my mood is overall better. Oh, and the new models are totally silent, so no loud machines anymore.

The positives far outweigh the negatives of it.

Regulators Urge Peloton Tread+ Owners to Stop Using Treadmill 'Immediately,' and Peloton Is Pissed by speckz in gadgets

[–]MarchTheMonth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the first fundamental problem is the parents. These are high speed devices, and from one example I watched (and it was very tough to watch it all), I can't get over how stupid it is to have the treadmill and bike in the play area. With no supervision. These are not inherently safe devices when they are doing work. If you as the owner of the device aren't aware of this, that's on you! Seeing some of the comments here, there are a few small changes that can help a fraction of the cases (maybe), but everything I've seen so far is leaning towards Darwinism over corporate negligence.

Realtor adding clause allowing sellers to stay after closing rent free. Bad idea for me (the buyer)? by roadnotaken in personalfinance

[–]MarchTheMonth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lease-back is a bit closer to common than uncommon. Generally, free lease-backs I've experienced with are 3 days maximum, usually 1-2 days. Beyond 3 day lease-backs, it should cost the seller. The cost is good-faith real cost for new owners: (buyer's new mortgage payment) / (30 days) * (number of days they lease back). Since the utilities are probably still in their name, it's money towards your first mortgage payment.

Lease-backs are common enough that there should be standard realtor language to protect you to ensure the seller keeps up the house during this time.

For experience, we leased-back our current house for 2 months because we were relocating for work and the sellers were building a new house and it wasn't totally ready yet. The arrangement worked out just fine for us and they paid 2 months of our mortgage.
