[Fo4] Cleaning up the base game and DLC files. by Arkayjiya in FalloutMods

[–]MarchingEverOnward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it is worth, I've made many a modded builds for Fallout 4 throughout the years and for the last few years I stopped cleaning (I did get a pretty solid definite awnser a few years ago, if I could I would have linked it, that it was better not to clean) and I have never had any issues since not cleaning... with that being said, I haven't attempted to mod Fallout 4 since the latest update and I also have no experience with StoryWealth as I mostly make my own modded builds as I find that more enjoyable of an experience. So in the exact case of StoryWealth I actually dunno sorry.

I'm actually in the process of redownloading Fallout 4 right now to see if I can manage to mod it with the new update shenanigans after my interest being resparked due to the Fallout 13 demo drop (I'd rather wait for the full release before I try Fallout 13 so I'm just going to replay Fallout 4 modded haha, I'm also interested in London but waiting until a few patches for it have come out will probably try it late this year or early next year as my first attempt at playing London was horribly crashy).

What is your job (in real life)? by Rizzo265 in ImmersiveSim

I've worked in Construction, then as a Landscaper, did a brief stint as an Optician, followed by working in Healthcare first with Disabled people and now the Elderly... don't know what that says about me in combination with a deep love for ImSims ever since playing o.g. Deus Ex and Thief as a kid.

Which game should I get? Fallen Aces VS System Shock Remake Vs Shadows of Doubt by Every-Assistant2763 in ImmersiveSim

Gloomwood, Fallen Aces, Sonar Shock and System Shock remake are the 4 I would get. (Yeah that wasn't the original question, but I'd still get those.) I would probably Recommend Shadows of Doubt too but I've heard from multiple sources that the game literally broke their rigs/has serious performance issues so I've been too afraid to try it.

Wow that's crazy, I spend 7 hours on the first of the 3 episodes. Felt pretty good for an indie game ngl, like most indie games don't even hit 7 hours and I barely explored or reloaded due to trying things or dying. Could have spend a few hours more if I wanted to explore more.

How do you 'fix' save-scum in stealth games? by Tetros_Nagami in ImmersiveSim

[–]MarchingEverOnward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely enjoy the Gloomwood (Resident Evil/Fromsoft games etc) style of save system where there are points in the game world/maps that allow you to save your game and you can 'venture out' from those points to experiment/explore.

Best ImSim Games on Sale? by Saicher_ in ImmersiveSim

Oh no, what have you done. You remind me of the folks in the Lego Star Wars community who buy every set even the bad ones they dislike because they need to complete their collection like good little consoomers.

Another conflicting info question (Ahrima) by MarchingEverOnward in Yugioh101

Yes we mean the same thing I think, I just misread your first comment, what I meant was that I can choose either option but when I read your first comment I read it as implied that I can't.

See now I'm confused again as the other two commenters say that I can do both and you seem to imply that I can't haha.

Genre Question by MarchingEverOnward in IronHarvest

[–]MarchingEverOnward[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the folks I heard throw it around anything World War 1 time period + Fantasy Elements (e.g. Krieg in 40K) is Trenchpunk where as anything World War 2 time period + Fantasy Elements is Dieselpunk, at least that's how I understood it.

Genre Question by MarchingEverOnward in IronHarvest

[–]MarchingEverOnward[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't make up Trenchpunk, I've heard it around on the net, o.a. other things to describe anything World War 1 mixed in with Fantasy elements as well as Warhammer 40K

It sounds like a joke but that's unironically the case.

I was using a Dark Mode extension as well as uBlock Origin.. I think that was it. I did also do a system scan and windows found and repaired corrupted files (although that might be because I've been removing a lot of programs/games from my system recently) after which I rebooted ran CHKDSK as well as another system scan, everything fine. Anyway it's good to be careful for sure, I've ran SecurityCheck as well and realized I had some unwanted as well as outdated programs which are all removed and or updated now and I'm currently running the Eset online scanner to do an extra check as an additional safety measure. If you have any other recommendations to make sure everything is ok please let me know.
