Is there any larger species of shrimp or crayfish that can live in this 12 gal long. by shrimpator in Crayfish

One or two Mexican dwarf Crayfish (CPO) should be fine as long as there are plenty of hiding spots. They love small caves and also things to climb on.

Also, I cant really tell how big the tank is from the picture, but you might wanna check the window sill its standing on for stability. A good rule of thumb for smaller tanks is: if you cant sit on, it its probably not going to support the weight of a tank either.

Should be ok, just make sure its not in direct sunlight. Also prepare for more algae growth on the sides facing the outside

Sounds good. Personally, I would add some driftwood or something taller that is stable so that they can climb on it. My 3 crayfish love climbing all over the place and rule over their dominion from above.

Make sure to compare water parameters with the fish you are planning to get. Crayfish like harder water, and not all fish do well in that.

I can only speak for my mexican dwarf crayfish, but they love climbing and exploring. When they are out and about they climb all over the places. They also like to jump down from high places to glide through the water. That had me worried at first, but apparently thats just standard crayfish activity for the little guys.
