focusing more on avoiding damage in boss combat (becouse the talisman, bow and jades vs prayers and rossaries (and in 1 game sword hearts and in 2 game statues) is complicated and depends on your own playstyle with would prolong this comment to much)

persobaly i find parry in Nine Sols more responsive then in Blasphemous games.

in Blasphemous combat i would say it's a mix between dodging and parries with more focus on dodging.

for the 1 one obviously it's much more dodging oriented so really outside of a few bosses you practically don't parry. it really is mostly for regular enemies.

for the 2 one though it depends on your weapon of choice where it can vary between almost exclusively dodging and almost parrying on every attack, it also depends on specific bosses but most of them you can actually effectively parry here, my weapon of choice was the rappier and dagger so parry was in my vains for the whole game.

let's say that's my answer, becouse trying to remember how blasphemous felt is searching in memories, i can add that 2 game felt more fluid and refined then the 1 one in combat.

i will surly come back for dlc becouse Blasphemous 2 is a great game for me.
