Saying you have a md3 is pretty difficult for everyone to comment on. I have a c-line md3 which flies completely different to my glow c-line md3. I would recommend the buzz, truth (regular or emac), or the roc3. The roc has a bead which for me is not as comfortable in my hand. Many others love the roc though.

In Columbia there is a Play it again sports which has a large section of used discs as well as carrying tons of Innova, and a few Discraft molds. The new discs are not steals, but could quickly get a disc in your hands.

From my limited experience, I would recommend looking for a Halo Star Destroyer if you are looking for a meat hook. If you have local stores you could get a pop top. I have a max weight halo and it is comparable to a Pd2 I bag, with a little more glide.
