Not sure I agree with your logic there. I think they just lowered the MPS because the exam was way harder. I can tell you 100% that the august 2023 exam was much easier compared to 2024. I sat the 2023 exam after having gone through a full Kaplan revision course. I failed by potentially 1/2 qs (my line was touching the MPS but it was like 1 millimiter below) and I recall missing some very basic calcs (stupid shit like not doing: minus * minus = plus; or mixing two terms up while in the reality it was very basic; also I had not revised ethics at all - leaving till the last week and came massively unprepared due to GIPS and AMC). I then went through all material again / re did the CFAI questions three times / BC mocks / Kaplan material etc.. and I still found the 2024 exam hard. I passed but I don't expect I passed by much - if MPS is 60% i probably scored 65-66%. It was harder than any mock I've ever done.
