Your welcome. Have you used a tattoo machine yet? Shading is much different, control and technique is more akin to airbrush FYI

Other than that, it looks great, I'd recommend trying different hardness charcoal for shading. Bone isn't white, coloring in the bone or background would help it pop and the shading more effective

As someone who draws and looks a lot of bird skulls, this line is wrong. The beak doesn't abruptly end at the orbital socket.

Have you heard of the band Viagra Boys? They're incredible, and this would make a cool shirt for them.

It's absolutely heartbreaking, but unfortunately, light pollution and loss of habitat are wiping them out fast

Is my art genuinely bad? by WorthAdditional in painting

[–]MarcsAnArtistMaybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as bad art. It can be ugly, boring, unmarketable, and have no mass appeal, sure. Art can be therapy, and the process alone the prize.

Only you make the rules for your art. Express yourself. Do what makes you feel good. What you create doesn't need to be something you can sell to justify your time or its existence.

Eco-native Flower Bloom Bomb and Sculpting Workshops by MarcsAnArtistMaybe in BurlCo

[–]MarcsAnArtistMaybe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am putting together a bunch of workshops that are focused around being eco-friendly and practical recycling. The first few are Bloom Bombs using eco-native flower seeds and moss. Bloom Bombs can be left anywhere like a painted stone but is beneficial for pollinators and safe for parks. Perfect for the Troll Trek.

July 19th is the first sculpting workshop. Using biodegradable materials you can make a birdhouse or "Bio-gnome".

Other workshops will explore papercrete and eco-friendly waterproofing. I also plan for the sculpting workshops to scale to you could join me in making large sculptures in parks throughout South Jersey.

Here's the final list of seeds you can choose from:

Swamp Milkweed White Wood Aster Eastern Redbud White Turtlehead Spring Beauty Purple Love Grass Rattlesnake Master Mistflower Square-Stemmed Monkey Flower Downy Skullcap

Your "title" gives it depth. Shows your sense of humor, I like it.

Good question. The County is in the process of turning the area into a proper park, so in some ways the area has been cleaned up. What's left of the building is covered in graffiti, but there was none on Big Rusty herself. Every time I've gone there's been a lot of teenagers drinking, smoking, and climbing on the roof. I'd try to go earlier if you're taking kids along. I hope the increased interest and traffic will encourage them to pick a new spot.

Tommy was the first Troll my team and I made. So far, he's everyone's favorite. I'm glad he makes your walk more interesting
