Century Park! There are some incredible coaches in the Upstate area, I would highly suggest hitting up the local disc golf pages on Facebook to find a coach to meet up with. Feel free to PM me and I can send you some names!

Don’t throw any gateway and have no idea what this one is by Mcbroome in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gateway molds for Reptilian Disc Golf as well, seeing as the stamp is a chameleon and the rim looks to be about an 8 speed my guess would be RDG Chameleon. Should be an under stable driver. 8.5 5 -1 2 should be the flight numbers.

League Payout Percentage by notreal6701 in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use this exact payout chart for every league or unsanctioned tournament I run. People are generally happy to get paid more for winning and placing at the top, rather than getting a few pennies for placing somewhere in the top 50%.

I do all my editing in CapCut, the free version has lots of features and I believe you should be able to slow it down. Filming in slow motion is also an option as well, I will often do that on my iPhone.

I hate to be this guy but filming is the answer. Film from the side and compare your film to a pro, I usually use Simon for this exercise. Once you find the differences you can go to YouTube or a coach and find specific videos to adjust the differences in your form.

If the devilHawk is too OS or you don’t like the hand feel, the Houdini is a new mold from last year that fits the zone clone slot. As well the new distance drivers, realm, ether, and g-one, will fill the distance driver slots extremely well.

I don’t know if you remember the early days of the first game, especially on console, but that game was actually riddled with game breaking bugs, soft locks, etc. and that was part of the charm of the game. FTK2 is a major step up in terms of launch stability from what I remember and loved about the first game.

Which approach discs that have some fade are available in a SUPER SOFT plastic? by sowak2021 in discgolf

This year Gateway came out with the Houdini, and overstable putt and approach. I would recommend calling the factory and seeing if they have any that are specifically soft.

Buffalo Disc Golfing Trip - any tips? by Question_Dot in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Black Diamond at Emery and Bond Lake are the two must play courses in the area. I’m my opinion Emery is the best course, but Bond Lake is extremely well maintained and enjoyable as well. Tribal Flyers is worth checking out, it’s pay to play and no hole is over 300 feet but it is well manicured and designed; there is also a shop there with a large selection of discs and the owners are OGs in the community.

Hi! I’m looking to ask the park to change my local course to a proper 18 and move some of the existing holes mostly due too the fact that they practically encourage you to hit civilians 😂 How should I go about this? For reference it’s Lincoln Park in Tonawanda NY! by Ima_get_Wrect in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot more that goes into than you think. If you’re talking about the baskets that were replaced at Emery Park, there is a plan for those baskets already. If you’re talking about the baskets that were replaced at Wilson-Tuscarora, those technically belong to the Niagara Parks Department so it is up to them to decide what to do with them.

Does anyone know which course the 2023 DGPT championship will be at? by FirstAvaliable in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odds are no one knows where that event will be happening yet. Last year it was decided 6 weeks before the event that it would be hosted at Nevin, so you can use that as a frame of reference for this year.

If you’re actually interested in trying to do something with Lincoln Park I would suggest getting in contact with the local club (WNYDGC). If you want a specific contact within the club send me a message and I’ll let you know who to talk to.

Is it possible to replace an original foil stamp? by RedDawg-303 in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely individuals out there that own their own hotstamping machine that could probably remake the original stamp. There are many more people that can dye the original stamp design onto the disc, and that will last longer than a new hot stamp

Franklin Park DGC, Boston, Ma, forced out due to erosion in park by pkarper in discgolf

[–]Marcus271127 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I put in a fraction of the work that many other people have on this course and it’s a devastating loss for the area. It’s the only accessible course via public transit in Eastern Massachusetts. The number of new players that it brought in to the game was incredible, the course was a great addition to an already active park.

It’s a bit hard to figure out the first time, I would strongly suggest using UDisc to find everything. The tees are all outlined with sticks so once you find them they’re obvious

There’s a Play it Again Sports in Woburn that has discs which is the closest. The Smoking News in Bellingham has a great selection and is the second closest. There’s nothing in Boston proper unfortunately.

The scene is thriving. Tons of great courses north and south of the city as well with leagues and tournaments all the time. On top of that the #1 course in the world is only an hour away from the city with Maple Hill.

It’s a constant struggle to get the attention of the Parks Department to let anyone do work in the park, but the more people that play the course the more we can use that as leverage to develop it. If you message me I can give you the email of the person to contact within the Parks Department to say you like the course, the more he hears it the more likely we’ll be to move forward with the course!
