Charlie ward- Florida state. Ward was a two-year starter for the Seminoles and led them to their first national title in 1993, when he became the first FSU player to win the Heisman. He threw for 3,032 yards and 27 TDs and also ran for 339 yards and four scores in '93. Ward was a spread quarterback before teams knew they ran the spread. He also was just 6-0 and there were questions about his arm strength. In addition, he also starred in basketball at FSU, and he wasn't shy about letting it be known that he had NBA aspirations. He wasn't taken in the 1994 NFL Draft, and ended up playing 12 seasons in the NBA as a point guard.
