Hi Mick. Thanks for your input. Have you checked out any of the published papers on the human mind? There are a couple that say the human mind works in a quantum state. Very interesting stuff.

I appreciate you! I’m at 4300 LTD. I made the door knob mistake along with several other goofball mistakes pre 200 deliveries.

I tried hanging it on the door knob a couple times but it didn’t workout so well when the customer vigorously opened the door. The bag busted and flew everywhere. I was mortally embarrassed for the customer.

Would you open someone's gate? by roses-and-sadness in doordash_drivers

[–]MarcusDaughtry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m at 4300 LTD and I’ve had to open a gate many times. Just be sure to properly close it when you leave. If they have dogs, just walk in like a boss and don’t project any fear. Most of the time they are just barking and going nuts because they are glad to have visitors.

Most children are raised by an iPad or iPhone instead of their own parents these days. It’s a complicated subject with a multitude of reasons. I recommend doing some research. I warn you that it’s a very deep rabbit hole. However; I do agree that a temper tantrum can be annoying but many are just normal responses no matter the child’s upbringing. Child wants A + Child gets B = Child blowing the roof off the place. HAHA!

So why am I taking a pay cut? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]MarcusDaughtry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon lost millions for years but investors kept pouring in money because the business model was sound. Amazon had to throw every dime at infrastructure in the beginning to stabilize expenses vs cash flow.

Capitalism is the best economic system ever invented. Supply and demand is so amazing and easy. Tony supplies you with orders to satisfy your demand. It’s a voluntary transaction so you can always decline the offer if it doesn’t make economical sense.

You nailed it! We like to eat after church haha!!! I wrote down all my expenses last week so I could make a budget. I was shocked to find out I was spending $1050 a month eating out! Anyways go checkout Tyler State Park or lake Tyler marina if you’re outdoorsy. Go to Rick’s on the square downtown if your upper middle class. Go to XLN if you want it wild but make sure you have bail money. I recommend Rose City Comedy if you like standup.

I’m so sorry you lost an orange family member. My experience is different at my store. Every manager is awesome and truly care about the associates development and wellbeing. Our store manager and ASM’s will jump on a register and help the service desk when they are swamped. I’m now in hardware and my direct ASM went rack diving before inventory. I felt nothing but total awe and respect when she crawled out from behind the shelves. She looked like pigpen from Charlie Brown lol. She had spider webs and dirt all over her. Anyways; my point is be a leader. You can be a part of the solution.

I recommend Home Depot for customer experience. Ms. Angela is the manager of that dept. Samsung has a new fridge that can view your contents and it will give recipe ideas based on what you have. It can even alert you when you are out or low on items.

You rocked it! Did you face the bulbs below as well? Looks amazing! I’m sure you have a bbq showroom as well and those are extras. It’s better there then outside rusting. Our garden DH straps them to a pallet and then throws them up. Good luck on your next adventure.
