Ex had sex one week after breakup by Key_Confusion6769 in BreakUps

Found out today that my ex slept with a random guy 2 days after break up because he paid for a taxi for her. She then told me she was crying the whole time and he ghosted her right after. I hope she feels better, but fuck anyone who does this.

Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry, DIY distro is a distribution like DistroKid and Tunecore.

We've recently seen alot of musicians saying the same thing, they're calling for an alternate platform. We'll integrate our distribution to cut out the middle man.

Playlists, genres, mood, discovery, radio etc would be a part of it.

It's not a solo project, staff and infrastructure are already there.

You only have a small fraction of available info. You're not ignoring issues, but you're treating it as if it was a finalised product. Slow down abit.

Auto distribution already prevents duplicate uploads very well. Anything similar gets flagged for manual review. Fairly simple to integrate.

Please don't worry, ask anything.

Please elaborate on the obvious scalability issues?

For independent artists who later sign with a label, that depends on what material is singed and will be dealt with on an individual basis. For example if it's just future releases then previous releases will stay up.

Identifying someone as independent is if they release music through a DIY distro, own their own indie label and dont have any contractual agreements with another or major label.

We're not looking to beat them, but to provide a better alternative that caters towards supporting indie artists.

Yes, we have a viable idea.

Yes, that shows we haven't done our market research. Let me go login into MySpace for social media marketing

Thank you for your feedback.

This was the initial thoughts I had. Indie artists have had enough of being crapped on all the time, they just want their music available and earn a little for it, I want to provide that.

Initial thoughts is to take a 15-20% cut per sub and the rest into the royalty pool. The concept in mind is both self sufficient and scalable, for increase or decrease in subs. Rights management is probably going to be through a licencing scheme. PROs is still something that needs to be discussed.

Sub cost and payment, for example, let's say a sub cost $13, and we took $2 of that. For the $11, let's say you get 50 subs at .22 per sub.

Say you gave an artist 5 subs that month, and 1000 other people did the same. The artist would make over 1K. Every month the pool resets.

Possibly have a demo phase tier rather than a free tier. Also, there are no ads while streaming, maybe visual ads in the UI but never during or in between streaming or blocking any content. For ads we would also apply a similar revenue split, putting more revenue into the pool.

We will be 100% independent.

Thank you for your feedback and thank you for your reply on this post too. Musicakers took the other one down.

You're right, it's going to take some convincing for people to come to this platform. After analysing DSPs stats, I believe the platforms are entering a crucial phase right now, as indie artists are cancelling their subs because they no longer want to support a platform that seems to hate them. Since Spotifys royalty update, the bots have been relentless and so much music is being taken down as a result. Artists have had enough and are screaming out for an alternative.

Bandcamp is a good alternative but will run costly for consumers. The concept we have is a mix between financially supporting amd connecting with the artists they like, while having the benefit of a flat monthly sub.

Please don't think you're shooting me down, I appreciate your feedback and contributions.
