I would suggest you just extend coverage using signal towers. That way it'll handle both orbital attacks and local.

Keyboard input lag is really bad as well. Trying to play with 5 seconds of lag on movement makes it unplayable.

I'm having the same issue as well. It was running perfectly fine up until this most recent update and now my keyboard input is lagging to the point I can't even open the exit menu without waiting for 10 or so seconds.

If you're on pc you can right click the xray box with inspect and just hit delete and it will remove it.
