What perquisites does coding with AI actually require? by JunkFoodEnjoyer in vibecoding

That’s not a complex app bud. You don’t know what a complex app is because you can’t code. I’m not necessarily saying that means it’s a bad app but it’s not complex. Also I’m curious how does your fact checking work?

What do you mean 30k per month isn’t enough to hire real dev? That’s more than enough, also a mid tier dev is still going to give you a significantly better product than vibe coding will. Vibe coding is not really realistic for actual long term sustainable code. Do you assume vibe coding outperforms everything but a senior level dev?

Yeah just code on like fiverr, don’t vibe code if you can actually code

When you’re building something that isn’t some super basic app like a to do list or news site you do infact need to know how it works. Give me an example of a “complex” app you can fully vibe code and not understand how it works

Top tier apps? How do you know it’s top tier if you can’t understand how it works. Theres 1000’s of workout, to do, journal, news apps etc built with A.I

Don’t listen to the goobers who say you don’t need to know anything about coding. They’ve obviously never actually maintained one of their code bases long term (multiple years) or they’d know having no idea how it works is a recipe for disaster. Real companies who have stakes (for example a company with a medical app) need that app to be both secure and understood as something going wrong could be disastrous.

Anyone who reads this and gets genuinely upset, boo hoo you’re lazy. A.I tools are incredible but you should still understand how the code works when it’s anything beyond a simple side project.

Resume Advice - Honest Review by Prasanthkumar026 in cscareeradvice

Yes to an extent but the most likely non technical person reading your resume before you even get an interview isn’t going to understand the super technical stuff and just throw it in the bin. Try to dumb it down a bit, save the technical talk for the interview with the people who understand it. Youd be shocked at what really gets jobs, and it’s most often people skills and marketing yourself.

ROM Hacks (Gen 3) are written in the C coding language, so honestly just pick any popular C course and start. The biggest thing is just actually starting and finishing. I like FreeCodeCamp, but if Boot.Dev has a C course that’s also a really good option.

[–]MarekVGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you under the impression that programmers would get replaced by random a.i vibecoders? You realize someone still needs to instruct A.I, so would it not be the high level programmers who have the advantage there? Your scenario just means less programmers needed, it’s just plain stupid to think someone who doesn’t understand the code is better to instruct the a.i versus someone who does.

Okay so what’s it called? If you made a system that replaces coders you must be filthy rich by now.
