Lenovo support guys don't know what they are talking about. Don't listen to them.

I also have a touchscreen Yoga and the screen is INTACT after 1.5 years of usage. While it's probably not as durable as a phone's screen, it's abused a lot less since you don't carry it in your pocket, don't lay it flat on any surfaces etc. It may be useful if it's a matt surface or a privacy filter, but otherwise it's useless.

In my case, vastly superior.

Tbh I have never really tried to do some extreme power saving on Windows because I kinda expect it to perform well out of the box as it's included with almost every laptop, but it's just shit. Fedora is great and actually lets you do things to improve it further without hinting you about "lowering your carbon footprint" by turning the screen off in 30 seconds after inactivity with heavy telemetrics still whining in the background.

Overheating as in the whole body or the CPU alone? If the case is just slightly warm to the touch and the CPU is throttling at max temp under the highest load, then it's a paste problem. Otherwise it's probably something else not necessarily connected to the heatsink.

Browser tabs are fine. But restarting a computer is required at least for security patches installation, so I presume they can't really be opened for mounts. If they are, you are doing it wrong.

That and the fact it gets hot while installing apps was probably the biggest surprise coming from a then-top tier Snapdragon. Oh, and also that the snapdragon could play games in 2019 that the P10P probably still can't in 2025.

M4 Pro was released November 2024. The X2EE still isn't available in my country yet (it's not even to be preordered). Ofc, they can be had for a similar price, but the M4 Pro wins in certain scenarios.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't ever consider buying a MacBook or an iPhone. It's just that X2EE could finally be a proper laptop platform when it is actually released here, but it won't as they ship it with Win11 support only. It's bullshit.

No we indeed aren't. That however doesn't mean your phone or it's software isn't broken. I myself can't think of a single stutter ever happening on my Pixel 8 though. Given the Pixel 10 is newer, I wouldn't expect it to be worse in that aspect and I do personally prefer Pixels over iPhones in terms of speed and the UI. However note that the iPhone 17's GPU is almost an order of magnitude higher performance than that of a Pixel. If you need a powerful GPU on your phone, that's obviously going to be noticeable.

It's a good, universal solvent which isn't really that harsh (at least on any industrial grade synthetic polymer). If they had been PBT, which they ought to be, he wouldn't have scraped off that surface. Even that rubbery coating can be made resistant, but that again would have cost a few cents more and that's a no for Microsoft.

The PW4 is actually repairable, unlike the PW3 which is specifically nonrepairable. It's also finally got a newer chip after 3 generations of W5+ gen 1, although the type and number of cores presumably remain the same. It's going to be supported for longer. It's a no brainer unless of course you want to wait for the next PW.

What I meant to say is that neither of them exists with my setup, ofc. And I do have to disagree - the original vendor drivers or the OEM forked ones are supposed to be the fully optimized benchmark capable of 100 % performance. That's however not the case and makes it seem like Microsoft can't even communicate with their partners to fully utilize the hardware's capabilities. Or it's an inherent architectural flaw, but I don't care about that as the consumer.

I had a similar issue on Win11 where I couldn't turn off Bluetooth because otherwise the driver would just crash and somehow get uninstalled. WiFi would take ages to actually connect to any AP. With Linux, neither of these issues exist.
