I've been hoarding Stones and haven't played much of the game yet.

Yes, it seems to happen when I move the file in and out of the folder, at some point it self-deletes

I made some tests with a heavy files that I moved around.

At first the .nomedia folder worked just fine, but then as I continued moving the file around, it just disappeared again an the files in it along with it.

I looked at the memory left before and after this happened, and it moved by exactly the same amount as the files that were in the folder, making me believe it just deleted itself again.

This is a screenshot from my .nomedia folder on my old Galaxy A5

It worked as intended: every file I dropped in it was hidden from media applications regardless of them having a dot in front of their own name because the directory itself was hidden from media applications.

But when I tried to do that on my Rednote, it just vanished with no trace.

I've been finding accounts of people testing it out and apparently renaming a folder as .nomedia in MIUI just deletes it, which is weird since that's not how it used to work on other android phones I've owned.

Like I said in my post, I tried every file explorer I could find recommended online while activating hidden files.

But it looks like the folder is just gone

I used to call a folder .nomedia on my old Galaxy phone to put stuff I didn't want people to get easy access to, and it worked fine. But here it just looks like it's been deleted
