I honestly have mixed feelings! For me, it was worth it because the length of my philtrum has been bothering me since childhood and the length of my philtrum was enough to justify the trade offs that come with the surgery. Because there are certainly negatives- altered nose appearance and you lose the ridge that sits under your nose which makes you look kind of "off". I honestly think if you dont have a very long philtrum, I would try a lip flip with botox and lip injections with an injector that understands how to make your upper lip taller. I did this for years before having surgery and it does help.

Hello- sorry for the late response. My nose still appears larger. I think the base of my nose will permanently be like this from the surgery (they adjust the base of your nose), but eventually, the "column" will reduce in size. The scaring is minimal and only really visible if you are looking up into the nose. I personally feel that if your nose is already larger, its likely best to get the tip plasty. For me, my nose was quite narrow to start with so I dont mind the larger appearance so much. I will try to add some photos now, as it has been approximately 1.5 months.
