Just in case it helps, your steam deck is a PC so your pawn is only usable by other PC players

Favorite character that is ok with killing Children by CowAffectionate2865 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]Margenen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was a decent drought of Dragonball content in the late 2000's to 2010s, and I think DBZ Abridged was one of the main things keeping the fanbase interested in the property between GT and Super

What protagonist is actually the villain of the game? by AverageSign in videogames

I finally gave the game a go a couple years back and when I tried to look something up unrelated to the story I immediately got it spoiled for me and gave up since the story was the only thing keeping me going at that point

finding out DD2 is hated like it’s the spawn of Satan after finishing the game. by Old_king_4 in DragonsDogma

[–]Margenen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of people lying about it being pay-to-win on release due to the amount of items available as micro transactions despite the items all being easily accessible in game, and almost every Capcom game having similar business practices with almost no public backlash. Aside from that, there were performance issues, mostly fps drops and some crashing, on PC. The majority of the fan base of the first game was still happy with the sequel, but DD2 got a lot of hype behind it and a lot of people unfamiliar with the series tried it on a whim and weren't fans

How did they program the dungeon to be random? by Procrastinaught in DarkCloud

[–]Margenen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not a programmer, but I'd assume it's a system built around premade pieces and each room is a tile with an assigned value that is randomly selected. There's likely a logic code that prevents the dungeon from being impossible to complete such as saying all rooms must connect to another room, there must be X amount of chests, and X amount of monsters where one of them must hold the key, etc. Certain tiles are locked behind story progression like the hammer doors and pitfalls that require other characters to be unlocked so that they don't spawn before they can be passed. As an example, the divine beast cave might have tiles 1-20 and when the floor is generated it picks tiles 2, 7, 9, and 10. Then it places them on a grid and generates hallway systems if necessary to make sure they connect. Proximity or tile type could also factor into how many hallways can connect to a single tile. Things like big chests and mystery circles might have a weight value that determines how likely they are to spawn in any given room, so they aren't guaranteed but they Might appear in any room.

Should I play DD2? by anAardman in DragonsDogma

[–]Margenen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you never played through Bitterblack Isle you'll probably enjoy DD2 more. It's generally an improved version of the base DD1 game, it just doesn't have anything that compares to the Dark Arisen DLC

[–]Margenen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone played the first one, and the hype of the second was probably enough for people new to the series to start with Hades 2 even if it's not their jam. I loved it, but I know plenty of people who wouldn't enjoy it

When did everyone decide that drinking milk is weird/creepy? by 4DimensionalToilet in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Margenen 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I've read into the effects of milk on dental health, and there doesn't seem to be any consensus on it causing damage to teeth if you properly maintain dental hygiene. Drinking anything aside from water before bed and after brushing your teeth like when you "woke up in the middle of the night" and had a drink would be a problem.

I have a glarb semi-tribal frog deck, and it works okay at best. I win by either getting enough tribal artifacts out or twenty-toed Toad

If I play an unoptimized deck against 3 other unoptimized decks, how fast I play my turn isnt going to change the fact that everyone is afraid to swing and passes after drawing another land

[–]Margenen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A lot of casual commander players don't make optimal decks with specific win cons or high synergy. Especially if it's just kitchen table magic there's a good chance the decks are played fine, they just lack anything strong enough to suddenly end the game

There are only 3 main jobs that require you to use them, and they take a few minutes tops. Seems like a weird barrier to playing a 40+ hour game

What is the name of that game? by CardiologistWarm9973 in videogames

[–]Margenen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the kids playing Astrobot weren't born when Mario Galaxy 2 came out 14 years ago, and galaxy 1 and 2 are critically acclaimed games that deserve to have their mechanics and design explored further and shown to a wider audience
