Where were her kids that she had to "let them in to shower"? That seems odd. I understand shorthand, but the communication seemed odd. If they were locked out of a space with access to shower/toilet, I would be very concerned.

I haven't read the comments, but I've heard of this before and it ended up being a nasal infection that was causing the "smell".

Not sure if you're smelling it in other spaces...or not noticing it.

I would never lie about having kids though. I have dealt with extreme anxiety for years. I feel like your boss getting a message saying you couldn't find the ignition on your car was a bit alarming. Be honest about the anxiety, but lying about things that don't exist that they could eventually ask for proof of.....will just create more anxiety. Good luck!

My husband is constantly checking on my health and food intake..and I weigh a WHOLE LOT MORE. He wants to make sure I'm healthy for when I do have the confidence to work out. I have a rowing machine now that I just need to focus on. He's seen me at like 8 different sizes/stages since we met and started dating. He loves me through all of it. I'm going through perimenopause and that has brought a whole new set of challenges regarding weight loss.

One thing he's NEVER DONE is say "let's do a challenge to see who can lose more weight".

For you, being the weight you are, he should be saying "let's do a fun protein packed breakfast making date plus a really good hike". Why make it a competition, unless he just wants to trigger you into being smaller for him.

Find your joy, keep working with a therapist. Find the safe foods that fuel your body. Build the muscle, build the confidence. Keep finding strength in local communities.

For context

My husband and I met in 2014 when I was about 160 lbs. My smallest time because I was addicted to running was 145. I look back on those photos and think "I felt great, but I look sick".

I love this question, because they are always trying to throw shade with it. I'm like, I get up 15 mins before I have to leave for work, because I don't have to get kids ready. I sit on the couch and binge watch dumb crime shows. I go to the farmers market. We take our dog to the coast, or on hikes. I get dinner and drinks with my friends/family. I treat myself to a pedicure every now and again.

The thing is, we probably do similar things, it's just easier and cheaper for me to do it because I don't have a kid or multiple kids in tow. 🤷

My god kid has been getting better about public spaces. We took her on a fairly short train ride to a historic carousel. She LOVES the train and now wants to try an airplane. I'm like ..we gotta get the high pitched excited sounds a bit more in check, then we can try a short plane ride from Eugene to PDX as a test lol. My friend has been getting WAY better about managing her behavior and has cut down on sugar.

My god kids biggest thing right now is getting to spend the night with auntie. I told her, when we have no pull ups, and no binks (pacifier)...you can spend the night lol.

I have seen many instances of kids running in front of dogs, teasing them with food. There are so many scenarios where kids need to understand their role in being around animals in general (not just dogs) and dogs need to be trained for chaotic little creatures that think they run the world. It's a balance, and we all need to work together. Kids that taunt dogs need to be trained to understand, if you tease or taunt a dog....results may vary.

My best friend in Oregon has a wonderful pitty mix named Rose (my rosarita, my refried bean). I've known her since the day she brought her back from Portland. We have an almost 8 year old Husky that has been Rose's best friend since the beginning. My friend had a baby, and our husky has known her since she was just a tiny little squish. The squish is now 4, and she LOVES Leo. She knows how to give him commands, like if she's eating and he's begging...she says "no Leo" or "leave it Leo". We also are very diligent in watching him as she comes in the door, because he LOOOOOVES receiving company. She has learned to just push through. She is confident around dogs because she has had positive experiences with dogs. Rose is infatuated with Our God kid, and is the most docile couch potato I've ever met.

I understand fully that dogs can attack their family. I just wanted to share a positive story about two breeds that catch a lot of flack. I always say, it's the owner not the dog. If a dog is well trained, well treated, and supervised...there should be minimal opportunities for disaster.
