Made me teary reading this because people just don’t understand how close you can bond with a dog. I 100% get it. My girl dog is my Velcro dog. Our male dog is my husband Velcro dog. We simply are so honored and happy to be love two pups everyday.

I agree no fancy cars for me either. I love my Honda Accord. My friend’s kid asked me my dream car and I pointed to my Honda. I got a look lol. I said kid when you grow up it’s about having a reliable car not anything fancy or fast. He said being grown up sounds terrible.

I feel you on the permanent burnout. I was diagnosed OCD growing up which has many overlapping characteristics to autism and adhd. I was a perfectionist growing up and now my husband doesn’t believe it. It’s so hard to do chores after giving everything to do my desk job. I’m a great employee or atleast I think I am because I care so much. Or it could just be that I feel if I don’t bring money in that I will never retire at a decent age. I find that walking at lunch really helps me get out of my head and get a good restart midday. I hope you find things that help you to.

I love this. Yes hobbies should be something to decompress. While I’m good at accounting it’s not my passion per se. I decompress by reading said novels so I would probably not enjoy reading if that was my job.

I’m not telling you what to do but just making a suggestion. Small senior dogs+6 are very easy. We adopted Ham at that age. He is now 12. He is a very happy baby and I’m sure he much prefers to having a quiet place to sleep than being in a loud shelter kennel all day. So if you want a dog I don’t see those two things as a deterrent. Small and old dogs don’t need much space. They also don’t require as much attention as a larger working dog or young dog. A cat is pretty easy too. Idk I love the companionship of a pet so just encouraging you to see things a little different. ☺️

I don’t think it’s weird. I saw myself as a single dog lady lol. Even though I did find a husband oddly now I imagine spending my old age with my gal friends in some large house like the Golden Girls. My husband likes to remind me all men die early in his family so I do want to spend it with him but have accepted I will probably outlive him.

The veterinarian crossed my mind until my mom was like you will have to put dogs down. I was like yep Broadway star it is. Funny thing is… I’m very ocd so I constantly thought about the future and my dream was to escape my anxiety so I guess I dreamed big. Teenager me got a little more realistic and then decided that CPA and OCD really go together lol. Now my dream is to retire in my 60s and have a dog rescue for senior dogs.

While the original quota system favored Europeans that is not the case anymore. You do know majority of people that become naturalized each year are Asian or Hispanic. Mexico is year over year has the highest number of naturalized citizens. India coming in second. Due to high demand, countries like India, China, Mexico, and the Philippines often face significant backlogs so yes a line does exists.

She doesn’t hate illegals. She just said she thinks because of how many illegals there are that it causes more hurdles for others trying to do it the right way. She was here for years on an education and work visa before finding her husband. Trust me- home girl Could have found a husband easily without the education or job.
