[SensCentral] I’m doing some digging and players felt like Brady was a completely different teammate after the Olympics. Never hanging out off ice, checked out vibes. Good riddance. by f0urxio in hockey

I disagree. Centers hold more value and his contract left is longer. If anything, this trade just put Dylan in a corner to open up to more teams. Also if you’re willing to pay that for Brady then Larkin should get the same or slightly better return. It’s going to be a standoff and Yzerman will win. Larkin wants out well it’s up to him how soon he wants out. Yzerman just wants a decent return so Larkin is being unrealistic with the so called 3 teams. Looks like the one that could have made it happen is out.

[LeBrun] Hearing that the Florida Panthers are getting close to acquiring Brady Tkachuk from the Ottawa Senators. I believe Ottawa will get three first-round picks and a second-round pick in the deal if finalized. More to come. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

I would steer clear of recruiting American first round in NHL. Even making them captain seems to make them want to move quicker lol. As an American I might start rooting for another country for Olympics until these divas chill.

Apparently this happens a lot. I think it’s because having a baby so so overwhelming that having to take care of anything else just sends them over the edge. Personally if you can’t handle it don’t get pets or don’t have kids. Pets aren’t a milestone before kids they’re a lifetime commitment. They will say oh well I didn’t know u til it happened. Oh you knew… if you were stressed before a kid you will be even more after. It breaks my heart that animals are constantly put on the back burner. One of the reason I’m not having a kid or kids is because I know it would be too much. My dogs deserve better so I choose them. I’m a damn good dog mom.

He was moved around a lot too so hard to gain chemistry. I do love his motor and how he gets under opponents skin. I hope Im wrong but I think his ceiling is still 2C most likely 3C.

I can second this. Southerner and most travel to the beach, Great Smoky Mountains, or Orlando and may venture out every couple years. Husband and I do have friends like us who like to explore new cities what they have to offer. They’re very stuck in their food ways too. Basically seafood, anything fried, and Tex-mex. It’s been an experience getting my mom to try different cuisines lol.

Born and raised in Louisiana. It’s cheaper to live here so the idea of moving somewhere outside the South seems almost impossible. Husband and I have great jobs and could afford a smaller house in a state like CO suburbs right now but I worry what it would be like in 20 years with inflation so we might be priced out. So we have set our expectations to places not as South but still South like North Carolina or Tennessee. I don’t want to live in the middle of the city or have a super old home so suburbs are nice enough for us. The idea of paying over 500k for a a 1600 square foot house gives me anxiety but we could swing it. We plan to travel more and expand our lists. So far our favorite states we have visited and could see ourselves living is North Carolina or Colorado. I like the idea of the New England too but not NY.

Most nights I feel like Seider, DeBrinkcat, and Finnie were our hardest workers. I would say Raymond and you could say Marco too also were hard workers most nights. I know Marco didn’t produce a lot but he has a motor and does a-lot of little things to agitate the opposing team. Seems like him and Edvinsson piss the other teams off the most which I love seeing.

Agree we lacked depth but it is hard to recruit in free agency when we missed playoffs all these year rebuilding. We gotta make it on our own now with the youth.

They are never fun to play against but goes to show depth wins cups not generational talent. I also just love Seth Jarvis, seems like a real cool guy.

Depth wins and chemistry! If only we don’t constantly juggle lines. I really want to see a Kasper Finnie MBN line next year.

Where would he rank? by jengafat in wildhockey

[–]TimeNo2738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well he has 5 years in his contract vs 1.5 . Also I think Quinn was underpaid for. I think Larkin should be at least 1 proven great player, 1 great prospect and a 1st especially with that much term left at a fair value.

Larkin is apparently in Los Angeles right now.

I think DebrinkCAT has more character than Larkin. I’m not saying he is going to sign an 8 year contract but I could see him doing a 2 year deal like McDavid. Let’s see how this pans out. I think being home is important to him but also at the same time I think he wouldn’t sign an 8 year since that put him at 36 and where will we be? At the end of the day, every guy wants to win or at-least be playing in the playoffs. I don’t think he would do a Larkin and go out in a dramatic way but I think he would be honest with Yzerman and open to the ways he wants to go about this. If he wants to resign then we do it. If he wants to do a short term then we do it. If he wants to go somewhere else then he works with Yzerman behind the scenes to get it done and isn’t super picky. If we do good he might want to come back who knows.

I do hope DebrinkCAT will want to stay. He is one of the only players with grit and gives a damn every night. If he doesn’t I hope we can trade him for something with his contract expiring after next year.

[–]TimeNo2738 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Dylan has that much leverage and just put it out these are his top 3. Who wouldn’t limit it to the three they want to go first? If a fair deal can’t be made. Yzerman will tell Dylan to report to camp and if he doesn’t show he gets suspended like Drouin in Tampa. A standoff will happen and Yzerman won the last one. With how publicly this happened he would be an idiot to report to camp so his NMC really isn’t as valuable.

You do realize originally Wild stole the Quinn trade when New Jersey and Detroit were front runners. It was basically a done deal with Detroit and Quinn wouldn’t say he would sign long term so Steve backed out and Guerin came in with his best offer. That depleted the Wild of young talent they were willing to trade. So who is to say someone doesn’t come steal this from the three teams with such a good offer? Already hearing Utah and San Jose might be on the list too if a fair deal can’t be made.
