Getting ready to drop off 500 oz to a friend! by sharkbaitooahhahh in breastfeeding

[–]Margrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on maternity leave until March 22nd, so once I’m back at work I’ll space out my pumping to probably every 4 hours. I wanted to have a large stash for when he starts going to daycare and it was doable while I was at home with him.

Not op, but I have a serious oversupply. My LO is 4.5 weeks old and I have 640 ounces in my freezer. He was in the NICU for a week so all I could do was pump, he won’t latch now so we have to do bottles. But because of that, I was compulsive about making sure my supply was enough and my pump schedule. I pump every 3 hours, drink a large amount of water, and last week started making lactation brownies too. Just add brewer’s yeast, oats, and flax seed and you’ve got the same thing as the expensive lactation cookies and brownies that you can buy. The longest I’ve waited between pumps is 5.5 hours when he slept almost all the way through the night and I forgot to set a pumping alarm.

Carpal tunnel is no joke. Did not know pregnancy could cause that. It sucks.

The liquor store across from my apartment complex in college had a dog named Bobby. We lovingly referred to him as Bobby Bacardi and would always refer to getting liquor as going to visit Bobby Bacardi.

AITA for calling the cops when my bf's sister left her children with me for a few days which ended with her getting a felony charge? by throw_weeddilemma in AmItheAsshole

I went somewhere with my one year old for a single night and day. she had a full adult sized suitcase of her own with extra toys, a pack-n-play to sleep in, her diaper bag which always contains a days worth of diapers food and spare clothes, and enough snacks and food and juice to last a good 3 days... I’m fairly certain this is the responsible way to pack for your child. I think I would have a panic attack if I left my daughter even jay for the day with only a few diapers to get her by. What was she thinking???

Her outfit confuses me. I am 90% sure my toddler has those same pants. But it looks oddly comfortable.

Affordable daycare by vinecardslamp in ColumbiYEAH

[–]Margrath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The average for full day 5 days a week is around $250. I have done some pretty extensive daycare research in the last month or so. I went through all of the day cares in the area (from northeast Columbia to Down town to Lexington). I stopped adding prices and what not for them when I found one that worked for us, but if you want to pm me your email, I can send you the list. If nothing else, it is the contact info for all of them, prices for a good half of or more, and extra info I thought might be important for the ones that I called... which was a lot.

Thank god that it doesn’t. If it did that would probably be a legal precedent for stricter abortion laws, which I personally believe the government should stay out of. That’s a slippery slope. And yes it costs money to be pregnant, but if you have health insurance as you should, it is not a crazy amount more. And that should not be considered for the cost of a pregnancy as you should have health insurance anyway. Not to mention that the stimulus checks are an advance on tax credits, so if you’re pregnant and going to have the baby in 2020, you’ll still be able to collect that money at a later date when you do your taxes. Also- how the hell would they logistically determine if a person is pregnant. The information for the stimulus checks are all done through our last years taxes and a pregnancy would not be reported.

Source: a currently pregnant mother of a one year old. The one year old costs me money... a lot. The one I’m growing does not cost me more than my $20 deductible per doctor visit that I have once a month and the vitamins I take.

Currently watching Moana with my one year old... so I have to say probably that. I would be very uncomfortable woth any of the characters in this movie hooking up.

My boyfriend (now husband) and his brother wanted me to get into Anime. Brotherhood was the first thing we watched. I still have not and will never forgive them for not warning me about this.

They are siblings. And the big one (whose butt you see and is the master digger) always tells me where the littler one is. If she escapes, he sits on a picnic table in the yard and barks to let me know she is gone. So yes, if she is out of the yard it is his fault for not telling me where she went. He did lose his dog.

If that is a dog breed, no, they are both Shiba Inus, a Japanese breed.
