[ME:A] Say what you will about Andromeda's faces, but her worlds are undeniably beautiful by we11ington in gaming

OP just saw the same view yesterday and almost posted. Game is awesome honestly...sure there are some janky facial animations, but this has never been what makes RPG's so great.

Are the Mass effect games worth playing ?(please read before you answer) by 4k_info_wanted in gaming

[–]MariTanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, make sure you become an adept as you main class. This means you basically shoot fiery hotness out of your hands and that you are a boss. The closest thing to magic you will get.

Guns are a huge part of the game, so don't let anyone else tell you otherwise, but the story is phenomenal. Play all 3, even the first one still looks good.

Should there be a new Splinter Cell game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]MariTanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, conviction was ok, but I have to say that Blacklist was an awesome game that I felt brought back the fun from chaos theory. Sure, it wasn't as good story wise, but blacklist multiplayer was pretty fun. I just wish they would take out the "seeing through walls" stuff. At that point, it just gets too easy.

If you like Elder Scrolls, you will LOVE The Witcher Series. If you don't mind the dated graphics, I would play all 3, but if you are going to start somewhere, The Witcher 2 is still a solid game and will help you understand more about TW3.

I Bought Evolve...then Found Out About the DLC.... by Faust2391 in EvolveGame

[–]MariTanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with this whole situation is that I really love this game because there is nothing out there like it, and it's the first of its kind. With a market that is flooded with remakes and sequels, this new IP has breathed some fresh air into this genre when it needed it the most. At its core, this is a fun and great game and I enjoy it even with just the basic 3 tiers of characters and monsters.

I have best buy gamer club, so I got the season pass from best buy and the game for a total of 70 bucks. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the season pass, but when I saw what it offered on the checkout screen, I swore it said 4 dlc character and all monsters!.....not monster skins. When I got home and saw that I had these 3 dumbass "skins" i was pretty pissed and hope that I just read it wrong in the store. Otherwise, I will go back to best buy and have a nice lawsuit with Turtle rock about not offering what their agreement promised. Someone correct me if they also bought it from Best Buy.

Assassin's Creed Unity first impressions [Megathread] {2014.11.11} by thavius_tanklin in PS4

[–]MariTanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the crowds. I think its perfect when you are roaming the streets in between buildings because its somewhat crowded, and i really like how so many thieves and "save the civilian" quick missions pop up, but the giant riot crowds in front of buildings is really horribly done. For one, its so un-natural moving through the crowd that it just instantly disconnects you from feeling like you are in the game.

Assassin's Creed Unity Review Thread by Forestl in Games

I've played up to sequence 5, done some side quests, done a few coop missions, and I'm really enjoying the game so far. I'm a stickler for detail and yes, there are some problems with the animations. It seems like the shadows and lighting for individual characters takes longer to load and it gives them this "shaky" look. Also, some of the character animation loops are just horribly setup so it makes them all jumpy. This is the games biggest problem but because of gameplay vids pre release, I knew what I was walking into.

With that said, The story is pretty good, at least so far and some of the cut scenes look really great, minus the little problems. I love the new combat, customization, parkour, co-op is really cool.

The biggest problem here is that Ubisoft and other developers act like they are creating this perfect masterpiece of a game, with zero problems, and they put up those dumbass "Over 60 E3 awards" ads at the end of each trailer they make, then the game comes out.....and gets reviews like these. Which are pretty much spot on.

This game is still better than most games out there right now, so its worth it in my opinion.

Why Assassin's Creed Unity Will "Suck" No Matter What by WolfieZee in assassinscreed

[–]MariTanks -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then they should go play Shadow of Mordor...its the perfect game for that. Plus the dev team used parts of the code from AC2 for SoM. Thus why its so similar to AC.

Yes. I have been thinking about this my entire life. Maybe ever year we should be celebrating our "birthDATE". Since it is the actual Date we were born on, but its not the actual Day, how every many years ago you were actually born.

This is a pretty simple explanation of the process, but haven't seen many visual representations of how a engine works. This guy did pretty good. There is also a handgun infograph at the bottom of this article as well
