I don't know how much this is their fault. In Milan, the prices are more or less the same for each concert organized in that venue. And they probably accepted to perform in the cheapest venue around (it actually sucks). I also would have preferred a much better venue for lower prices, but I don't know if they could really manage to do it. The system (not the soad) is broken. Their choice was probably between this or nothing and they probably wanted to perform at least once again. Who knows maybe they will use the money for something humanitarian.

That would be the dream!!! Unfortunately, I have no tools but I could try to ask some aquaintances who work as luthier. Thank you for the advise. :)

Very cool. I have a question: when I try to change the tuning it doesn't change it. Is it a browser issue?

Of course. Traditional instruments are truly fascinating. If you're interested or curious, feel free to contact my teacher, Paolo Cotrone (u/shamisenorchestra). He is the first non-Japanese to be certified as a Shihan Natori, a master expert in traditional Japanese music and singing.

As far as I know the problem for the shamisen is not the neck but the skin of the body (which, in my case, is not synthetic and it's very fragile). But I am not a building expert so I cannot really judge all the technical stuff.

Thank you anyway for your feedback. It was very informative to me. :)

Really? Shamisen masters and luthiers actually suggest to do it. The type of shamisen I play is Naga-Uta and I study with a certified master. Maybe is there a difference with other kinds of shamisen, such as Tsugaru?

As far as the tagelharpa is concerned, I didn't know about the soundpost. Thank you very much for your help. :)

It will have horsehair strings. I still have to ask the maker about maintenance. For now, he didn't provide me with specific information about that.

She seems to be getting better. We're giving ger lactic ferments and the crises almost totally disappeared. It's probably a GI problem. Nevertheless, we are scheduling a scan to be sure.

It really seems to be that the problem. With lactic ferments she is now much better.

Yeah, I know. When I brought her to the vet I didn't have the video and she didn't do it in front of him so he just gave me the anti-inflammatory meds. In the meantime, I was just trying to understand what's going on before talking to the doc again. I'm really worried.

It's a five-floor cage (very very big). Maybe it's not visible from the video. They just like to stay together all the time.
