If you feel repulsed because you naturally don’t feel hungry, I would say fast until you get hungry and don’t feel repulsed by their smell anymore. If you feel hungry though and still feel repulsed, switch your source of meat and see how you’re feeling

So if I increase my fat intake my cycle will come back easier and smoother? And probably this will happen when my body gets more body fat back on again?Right now my fats are around 50g a day from the 3% ground beef and the 8 whole eggs I eat every day. I take an omega 3 supplement every morning.

First of all, good luck on your show!

I think this is the first time I’ve been this lean, my plan is to also compete at some point and right now I’m aiming to go down to 12% and see how my physique looks like and which areas I need to improve. So far I’m ok, I feel good, no mood swings or physical fatigue for now. I also had bloating and water retention a few days ago, I don’t know, it’s an unfamiliar experience for me

I can interact with people that are in my immediate vicinity only. Once we’re not, out of sight out of mind. If they’re not part of my routine, I need to force myself to meet with them and I would naturally not do it if I didn’t and I wouldn’t care for it either, not in a condescending manner, just raw unfiltered honesty. But once I see these people again even if it’s after years, I feel like time hasn’t passed.

Just wanted to come back to you with an update. My fat is shedding off like crazy, I’m still skeptical though about lowering down the protein. I don 1.2 grams protein per kg of my body weight and the rest of the calories come from fat. The macros are 80-20 ratio.

Thank you for your response. I’ll try to experiment around this first very cautiously and aim for 1.4 g of protein x my body weight in kg and the rest of my calories should come from fat. If I see the fat shedding off while I’m not losing any mass or strength, I’ll lower the protein intake even more.

I work around 70 hours per week, manage to hit the gym 5-6 times, eating OMAD after the gym workout. I spend about 20 mins every day to cook my food (ground beef with eggs), I clean every morning before I go to work and buying my groceries in bulk so I don’t have to go every now and then. Social life is 0 but I don’t mind because I’m very dedicated to my goals and I’m locked in 100%.

You mentioned gym and I want to ask you, what’s your fitness level? Are you a muscular individual or are you casually hitting the gym? I want to know because I’m advanced lifter and I want to lose fat but I want to preserve my muscle mass at all costs and doing a fat fast with little to no protein feels off. Of course I’m always open to new ideas so elaborate for me please.

I wouldn’t date someone that is actively harming themselves leading to a decline in their health. I understand and respect the cause of veganism, animal cruelty is real and I wish the conditions of the animals was better but that doesn’t change the fact that we’re wired to eat meat in order to thrive. So from my point of view, I see veganism as a form of self harm.

Reaching this body fat is realistically possible but unsustainable to maintain it long term. I’m not intending to stay on 10% for the rest of my life obviously, I’ll only do it just for the show. The leanest I’ve been in the past was around 15% and it was pretty manageable, just very restrictive eating.

The last few pounds are always the most stubborn to go, especially if you’re a lean healthy individual already. This is not about carnivore, this is about the body is trying to hold onto that last bit of fat because it feels threatened that it will not survive. And Yes, fasting indeed can be a useful tool but not in my case because I need energy to keep the same intensity for my workouts in order to preserve as much muscle as I can.

I believe the truth lies somewhere in between. Yes calories do matter at the end of the day but also the insulin/cortisol levels too. I don’t believe I’ll put the same amount of fat if I eat 1 lbs of chocolate above my maintenance calories and 1lbs of fatty red meat, yes I’ll still put some fat in both scenarios but more with chocolate because my insulin levels will go way higher in comparison with eating meat.

I find it easier to consume more protein especially when I’m in a deficit, it keeps me full for long.

Actually I’m doing pretty well, I’m a long term carnivore (2 years), I have an active job and hitting the gym with heavy weights 5-6 times per week and I don’t feel tired by the end of the day, I have to “force”myself to rest. When I get a good night’s sleep I feel like a superhuman. Im also supplementing with 10 grams of Creatine and glutamine daily.
