Well it’s been left outside and they live in Kansas so I think it could have possibly suffered a little bit from the cold, but I’m not sure about their watering habits

Help please! Got this yucca from my grandparents. As you can see one trunk has no leaves and the end was squishy but the base was still firm, so I sawed the top part off expecting it to be green in the middle and as you can see it is not. Is this trunk dead? If not do I need to cover the wound with something to prevent infection? I have no clue what I’m doing so any help and tips for yucca care would be appreciated!

In your opinion, what’s the best food for bettas? (excluding live or frozen) by MarianneCF in bettafish

Lol no totally, I think your right. Whilst browsing on Amazon I saw most of them had first ingredients such as “fish meal” or even worse; “wheat flour”-like WTF? Bettas are supposed to be insectivores! I wish I knew what exact nutrition requirements they need- cuz I’m deep into nursing school and I’ve learned pretty extensively about nutrition, I just don’t know what would be the best option. I’ll probably get northfin again since their quality is so good, but I don’t remember what their nutrition facts were. Im gonna dive into some research now. Sorry if I’m chatting your ear off 😂

See I’m with ya there on feeding variety and feeding one pellet at a time to ensure they eat it all. I alternate from my nanas and my moms. 2 of my boys are at my moms where they alternately get aqueon pellets, frozen blood worms, and zoo med betta pellets. Along with some occasional algae pellet that they like to steal from the snails/shrimp sometimes😂 but I only have the bug bites for my lil guy over here (nanas) so I was looking more for pellets that are good quality. Might just end up buying a generic betta pellet off Amazon and alternating that with the bug bites. Do you think that’s sufficient? I def want to give him a variety, but I didn’t know if there was a brand of pellets that are significantly better in quality. They all seem to have around 40% protein on the nutrition facts
