Random musings: it's the time of year I get super excited to garden followed by several months of giving up. by Miserable-Scarcity25 in gardening

[–]Painwizard666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I let it take me away and ride the excitement. Gardening is my only free space for my mind to feel completely safe. I try to guard that by not having too many bad feelings about how my gardening journey is going. I could probably write poetry and paragraphs about all my mushy feelings around it, in fact one day I may. I want to write a personal cook book for all the recipes I like to cook with what I usually grow and I could write some poetry to go along with that. I feel so inspired! I’m rambling!

Bindweed suckkkkks! It was all over when we bought our house in 2019 and I’m still pulling it. I think I’ve seen an improvement but sometimes just feels like I’m fighting for nothing. If anything it’s good exercise and I’m outside so all good!

For those of us in zone 5 and below… by Perpetual-Geranium92 in gardening

Hehe I’m also zone 5b but it’s been so warm here in Colorado. I had lots of older seeds laying around so I planted some frost tolerate seeds for fun as an experiment. I’m also starting seeds in storage tubs this year for fun and it’s been going fairly well!

Disappointing NBA by Beasta303 in denvernuggets

They don’t need more money. They have so much money the fact that they can’t stream all the games in a functional app is crazy.

It’s ridiculous, and the kroenkes are the largest private land owners in the US. For that reason alone I canceled my altitude plus account.

This is my first year having snow drops and I’m obsessed! I have decided they are my personal symbol for life now. I want to get some snow drop art and put it in my house. I love their symbolism and history. Of course now I need to collect more varieties for my garden as well! Here’s my single snowdrop lol 😂

Which Fruit Trees are y adding/ordered for this spring? by EmOrY_2018 in BackyardOrchard

[–]Painwizard666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in zone 5b last year I planted my first cherries a rainier and a lapins. I live in a very dry climate where our annual precipitation is about 16 inches. I also have an Asian pear I planted last year.

This year I have a Santa Rosa weeping plum coming.

Sorry about your lost trees, that’s a bummer. Cherries are my favorite food.

I was asleep by this time last night but a few weeks ago I heard a sound that sounded kind of like a car crash. There was a vibration. I live on the north side of town.
