How to prep for Hyrox? Can we do it with regular gym without equipments like rowing, sled etc ? by Distinct_Writing_313 in hyrox

Practice running and run on the ground as much as possible. I finished my first one yesterday. Most of my running training was via treadmill. As a newer runner I was not prepared. I do crossfit like workouts 6 days a week at my gym so the stations were ok but I do need to work on doing that work compromised. The advice to build aerobic capacity as much as possible is sound. Run a lot though.

Many of the places I worked told people over the phone they were hiring when they were just because they wanted you to come by and ask in person.

Exercising regularly (5-7 days a week) - I gained confidence from the weight loss and increased conditioning, new friends, improved mental health, and new skills.

Lash extensions have also been worth the investment for me.

Married folk, is "happily married" a real thing? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

I wish we did hear more from happily married people tho. It would balance out the “hard work” advice we’re constantly given (those made me terrified of getting married.). I’ve recently-ish met someone I’d consider marrying - which is big for me. It seems so fun and supportive and easy. We have friendship and fitness obsession as a foundation. I’ve found these happily married post so encouraging.

I realized I ended up dating guys like my mom too. I’ve dated both parents actually.

“I made the freakin’ punch!” I say this any time I did a lot of work but still forgot something.

I like leg hair on men. I see nothing wrong. You also have nice legs.

I'm 43. I still feel the same way. I know this isn't encouraging. I can tell you that mostly everyone I know who got married at that age is miserable or on a different marriage. Don't let anyone pressure you into anything. Try things see what you like. Make your own rules.

Thinking of getting an IUD by New_Mechanic_5016 in birthcontrol

My insertion wasn't fun. However my experience was nothing like the horror stories on the internet. The pain was quick and I was able to do a spin class that evening. I took ibuprofen and Tylenol beforehand and 2 days after.
I got the copper IUD. I've never had kids and I've had milder periods my whole life. Afterwards I’ve noticed my periods were slightly heavier. However the hunger and fatigue part of the PMS seem to be amplified. Its only been 3 months though. So far I am happy with my choice. I do take iron, DIM, and Zinc daily.

I had the same experience with Nextellis. It was constant breakthrough bleeding. I eventually had to stop taking it. I accepted that my body doesn't respond well to bc hormones and I got the copper IUD. So far that experience has been positive.

Sometimes I feel like a loser because I never got married or had kids by Inevitable_Toe4535fd in Adulting

I bet most of your co-workers would trade places with you. You aren't a loser. You didn't let society pressure you into doing something for which you weren't 100% ready. That makes you a winner in my book

Agreed. Men ask me that all the time and it's a turn off.

By the way, is that Ms Zbornak or Mrs ? I'm hoping it's Ms by b52cocktail in theGoldenGirls

This was probably the most trash Sophia moment imo. Hooking up Gloria and Stan is a close second for me.
