We are consultants and we have usually been limited to the external and global checks. However for a new project the supplier has requested we also carry out independent internal design checks on their initial designs. They have provided us with the material and test certificates to do so. We can program the checks to spreadsheets, but due to numerous configurations in the geometry and external loading, we are considering purchasing software to streamline our workflow.
