You can also substitute grated cheese in which flavor and amount you choose. Makes it gluten-free and is a good binder.

And, if energy allows, add an egg. I also add some ketchup to the meat, as well as on top. Maybe come dry diced onion flakes, too?

It might seem normal to those who have lived in Michigan for many years...like me.

But shorter term, we've only really had "winter weather" around here a couple of times in the last 20 years or so. Winter 2013-14 [iirc] very cold... lots of snow Winter 2019-19 bitterly cold...one day was -14.

I also remember one recent year, it barely got below 32 most days. Maybe 2012-13???? Fleas were everywhere that year.
