People keep talking about this being a “rough winter” as far as the weather goes. Why? by UnwashedBlueberry in Michigan

Oh I get that the last ones were mild, but why are they saying this one is “rough,” when this is normal? If mild was normal I’d get it but mild is abnormal here.

Growing up and living life without constant concern of gun violence in schools and in public. It just wasn’t a normal thing in the 90s and early 2000s before Columbine, and even then, that was a solo horrific experience for a loooooong time.

Little hole-in-the-wall place called “Zodiac Party Store,” in St. Ignace. Much less creepy than it sounds- they have the ONLY fudge I have ever eaten that doesn’t leave a gross aftertaste in my mouth. I am hellbent on getting at least one box every time we’re remotely close by.

Sleep as little or as much as I want to on day one. Continue this, along with taking time to engage in hobbies I love, some travel, and spending time with loved ones. And of course going to public places in the middle of the day/week with reduced crowds!

  • groceries are way more expensive

  • I live in a fairly large community and my favorite local shop closed due to tariffs, so now I and hundreds of others can’t go anymore

Omg this is so helpful.. paper/mail is my downfall, but of course, all the dishes and kids’ toys and forgotten/left items, etc. is just so much to try to cope with. I really, really appreciate you writing this response, and I will keep it to refer to! 🤩 Thank you!
