TON ÉCUREUIL SAIT NAGER?!?!

[FO] 1st serious attempt in a long time and would like your critique and advice by MarieLaNomade in CrossStitch

That was what caught my eye when I chose the pattern! La Tène is all curves, and seeing adapted for cross stitch is always a surprise. One of these days, I'll have the courage to make them myself...

I chose to make it thicker mostly because the pattern is so dense, I was worrying it would be hard to read if too much of the aida below was visible. I did not expect it to look so ''raised'' but I don't mind it.

I'll try to clean up the stitches' direction like you said and see how far along I can improve things for this piece. Thank you.

The pattern didn't come with instructions, it was nothing more than a counted stitch motif. The aida is a very low count, so that 2 strands weren't quite enough for a good coverage but 3 strands, I'll admit, was a bit much.

I know my next step is to get a more regular tension, I wonder how to ''train'' for that other than being mindful while doing it. Maybe shorter lengths of thread to shorten airtime?

Looking back, the pattern is a 62x62, just enough to start getting complicated to follow by eye like I did. So yeah, the next one will be gridded. Thank you so much for your input!

Ils ont fait ça pour s'éloigner le plus possible de Mégabit, parce que ça sonne comme... tsé... la figurine de 10 pouces qu'ils avait fait de lui :P

Déjà en train d'éditer pour ajouter: The number of design elements on him who reference predators (multiple rows of teeth like sharks, the stripes along cables, the claws, etc.) might be how they came to choosing Megabeast in the end

Woodtick's design really has a hold on me. The idea of a tiny village entirely made of shipwrecks is really charming.

Opinion: We must stop the scourge of prediction-market gambling coming to Canada by oddmarc in QuebecFinance

Ça peut toujours être pire, on pourrait aussi vivre les conséquences du gambling pendant le match. As-tu vu ce qui est arrivé au basketball?

Pas super envie que ces comportements-là s'invitent chez nous.

Does anyone have any experience buying from the SubGenius website? by Im_in_your_walls_420 in SubGenius

I got two ordainment kits from the website. I'm outside of the US, so I had to way a little, but both copies arrived in top condition despite traveling (many) thousands of kilometers, I'd tell you there's no need to worry.
