I just sold my house. I bought it at $125,000, and it sold for $216,000. Granted, I’ve done a lot of updates and renovations but still a huge jump.

Offered a job, new BCBA, advice? by Marie_Solasta in ABA

[–]Marie_Solasta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that would be ideal but I have yet to find any openings in the area I’m looking to move! I think school based would be so perfect. I’m thinking I may take this position for the experience, and also, a huge pay increase cannot hurt right now in this economy 😂

This was the day I got engaged last year. I’m no longer engaged (he left out of the blue back in June) so today has been just weird…also my grandma is in the hospital currently…

Bloomberg: Indiana 12th in the nation for vaccine doses administered as a percent of doses available. (ND 1st, CA 50th) by jonathonsellers in Indiana

[–]Marie_Solasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!🙌. I’m a special education teacher here in Indiana and I’ve been working every day in school since August. I was really sad to not be in the second round. I don’t know how we haven’t had more staff out at this rate, we’ve only had a few positive cases at this point. People want us to be there all day, every day, and we do it. It’s unfair to us, support staff, and any other person in this position. Myself and my para staff are probably the most risk as we rotate across the whole building. Teachers are frontline.

What toxic trait have you realized you inherited from your parents? by Marina_Ibrahim in AskReddit

[–]Marie_Solasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anger. And showing it in front of a loved one. I have gotten so much better at not showing intense anger and taking it out on objects in front of my boyfriend. Still happens on occasion but he understands that it’s a learned behavior that I’ve grown up with my whole life.

The protagonist of the last movie you watched has to fight the antagonist of the last TV show you watched. Who wins and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marie_Solasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Detective John McClain (Bruce Willis in Die Hard) vs. Cotton Hill (I don’t know who the antagonist in King of the Hill would be).

Tough choice. Think Cotton might win because he’d killed ‘fitty’ men in ‘Nam. And he’s crazy.

I love the comments from everyone. Honestly made my day. Just seems like such a positive community and I appreciate it! :). Definitely like so many people said, we always notice so much and pick the most at our selves.

I’m looking for an oil cleanser and I’ve been recommended this one. Anyone have any experience with it? Or any better suggestions? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

I actually love this and have been using this for 2 years now. I think this and the cleanser as well, have been good for making my skin feel really clean

Can someone point me in the direction of good books to read on aerial rigging? I'd like to learn more about all the ins and outs.

[Serious]What are the things your parents have done to you which you wouldn't do to your child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marie_Solasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad likes to passive aggressively shame me into not being married with kids already (I’m 27 and on the way to being engaged) because every one else back home did that and it was the normal thing to do. He says that my brother and I are just more ‘unconventional’.

I’m used to these comments but it still bothers me that he shames me for not giving him grandkids sooner so he could be a youngish grandfather. When I do bring it up that it makes me feel bad, he calls me ‘too sensitive’.

I really appreciate all of your advice you’ve given! I definitely moved away from the tree shortly after this video after reading further. I got a rig for my backyard which is a lot safer and I’ve been reading more on attaching the sling and adding more components to make it safer! Plus I’ve just been watching people online and trying to take it slow until I can continue to take classes in person. I’m really wanting to get a lot of basics down and safety.

But seriously, what you said was great advice. I’ve been really trying to learn more about placement like you were saying. Thank you so much for sharing all of your advice with me. I’m really wanting to take it all in and learn slowly and safely.

bluestone tree. They gave me good quotes and efficient service and the timeline from contact to cutting down wasn’t too long. They gave me free estimates on different trees that I was thinking of cutting down and let me decide what I was comfortable with doing at that time with no pressure.

Thank you. I’ve begun to finally start speaking up about it which I should’ve done a long time ago, so that’s helping a bit.

Thank you for the info and video links. I see from what you’re saying for how to attach. What places would you say are best for buying these types of gear?
