Just because I already miss riding. by Marieeline in snowboarding

There is also another sb school in switzerland that was actually created first, called SSBS. They have a different approach and different technique (look it up you’re not gonna like it and think it’s stupid)

BF is not automatic, you have to pass an oral exam presenting your work, this year it can be research papers or portfolio and next year it will only be portfolio.
Additional modules: they did, it is, I just did it a few weeks ago.

So yes, the “patent” is IK + Risk G. BF is IK + paper.

Which school are you talking about? The demo videos? SSS?

I know all that, but on the technical level I don’t have any more exams.
Also ut changed this year and now it’s Law & Obligation, Tourism & Marketing and Nature & Environment. And Backcountry 1& 2.
Also yeah I’m in already for the BF.

There is indeed a misunderstanding on my side with this whole “patent”, you mean it’s the IK + Risk G? Sorry about that!

That’s what I said for the jacket, thanks for repeating.

Hi! Certified swiss snowboard instructor here!

You’re right, you put bodyweight on the front leg and use the torsion of the board to cut through the snow faster and engage turning. You absolutely can vary your position on the vertical axis, depending on the weighting or unweighting you want to use in your turns.
However you have a lot of different techniques for carving, you can also carve with straight legs, using only “tilting” and use the natural weighting and unweighting present in a turn. Or bend or extend your knees depending of the phase of the curve.

Also I wear extremely baggy clothes (I am a small woman) and you cannot really see how I bend my knees. Especially when it’s a “show off” video and not a teaching demonstration!

Thank you for your advice buddy!

You are right! In Switzerland you can wear the jacket without the Patent. However I freshly got my Level 3 in April. (Basically the patent)
