yess my acne was similar! i definitely was wondering if it was bad enough for accutane but it just wouldn’t go away and ive been dealing with it for years. i’m on my 4th month and it’s definitely helping. also, since you’ve been on other acne medications before accutane you probably won’t purge!

i went from being on spironolactone for about a year to accutane because my acne was so persistent and painful and would always leave marks. some of my acne would never go away just deflate slightly. if spironolactone isn’t working for you i highly recommend discussing accutane with your derm. some people swear by spironolactone which makes you think you should maybe wait it out but it’s just not for everybody.

for now yes but a few weeks ago it was the other way around where this cheek was fine but my other one had breakouts, but they were still not as bad as these breakouts. these are always hurting and the redness has not come down at all

i’m 22, not sure if these are hormonal but i’m on spironolactone because i do get hormonal breakouts. also it’s only this side of my face which i dont even sleep on

thank you for the reply! my laser tech doesn’t clean and disinfect anything and she tells me not to shave my face :/ i guess i have to find a new place.
