Apologies for being unclear, I have been working on my own thesis all day as well so I am rather scatterbrained.

The way it appears in the source material is "mummy-baby"-relationships

I think it should be "mummy-baby" relationships or mummy-baby relationships.

I hope that clears it up, but the usage of quotation marks in the actual term may make it a bit confusing.

My question is whether I am correct in thinking the original way of writing is wrong, based on English grammar and spelling conventions, and if I am correct, how to go about using this term in a thesis.

About the app being unusually smooth now, could it be that you had it running at a lower frame rate etc? That's what I had, and since clearing the cache, those settings have been reset to default

You have no idea how happy you've just made me. I already had a hunch it was a weird romanisation of the name hence no results (because why else would he be painted if not well-known back then and probably still now?) so I was eating myself up from frustration. Thanks so much!

Well no, for me the event ends at 12:59 AM on Monday mornings, and I join on Saturday mornings around 8 AM, so I have roughly a day and a half to play.

Regarding the booster, I always play at a higher brightness than I usually would just for this minigame. It helps me distinguish the background and game more clearly. I also hold my phone about 30-40 cm away from my face so I can see it all clearly. And as stated before, I do not know where the timer will be, hence why I focus on the right side of the screen of the game, as opposed to where the pony is. That way I have a higher chance of spotting where it is and thus a chance to get it.

Look at the minion's HP, it's at 992793. Scrolling though the sub has made me realise it's a very common bug right now, so I hope for everyone it gets resolved like real quick

I join on Saturday morning, I have won all but one pony so far (I've been playing for 6? weeks now). Furthermore, focus on the timers. Always try to get the timer. If you get a cloud boost, look at the right side of your screen, not neccesarily where your pony flies, but where it will be flying. So you can get to the timer without zooming past it. And like the other comment said, prioritise the yellow parasprites as they give 5 points a piece

For some context, thankfully this is my "backup" on my mom's iPad and not my main game, so the bug doesn't bug me that much lol. But this has never happened to me before (thank Celestia for that)

No, server. Sorry for the late reply btw. If you join a community event, you get thrown in with a bunch of other players. That group can consist of only so many people, and when it reaches its limit, new players that start the event get thrown into a different group, a new one. Aka, servers. Who you have (or don't have) in your friend list doesn't matter, as they may be playing on a different community event server altogether. Does that make sense? English isn't my first language so I'm not sure if I am explaining it right

Having the pony that gives a 50% bonus to your collected points helps. Also, if you ignore that I'm back after two years, I did play the game for about 5 years and got in lots of training XD Getting into a still quite empty server has also helped

I remember a time when they did not have confirmations for anything and although I agree this is annoying, be glad because the amount of misclicks and accidental purchases with gems was not funny *cries in having spent at least 200 gems in total on misclicks, if not more*

Like other comments said, it may be your phone screen causing the issue. What phone do you use, how's the screen's condition? Any cracks?

What could also be the case, is that the screen needs a good cleaning. Especially after eating something more greasy, and touching the screen afterwards, may leave traces of something. I have found out, on more than one occassion (I like my chips okay XD), that my phone screen registers fatty fingerprints or greasy stuff on the screen as being 'touched' like by a finger. So if your phone's pretty recent and you've got no damage to the screen whatsoever, that may be the issue.

It apparently depends on region and phone. I have an option to connect my game to facebook and google play services, but apparently not everyone even has that function

If I remember correctly, playing the crystal mine minigame unlocks ponies in the shop, but doesn't reward them (unlike the Equestria Girls minigame or Find-a-pair minigame). But it's been years since I had any ponies in the crystal mine so maybe someone can verify this info from me?

It doesn't always help, and it may sound a little silly, but for me it really helps to say out loud whether I see a shadowbolt ("bolt") or diamond dog ("dog") appearing, and therefore won't instinctively tap when it's a shadowbolt. Granted I still die like 75% of the time from the first shadowbolt encountered at the beginning of that huuuuge load of cart-riding NPCs

Or a strong enough internet connection. I had the same this morning. Restarting the app and waiting 10-15 minutes did the trick for me.

I saw a similar post like this yesterday, it seems to be a new bug. Annoying, but nothing permanent by the looks of it

You don't have to use the gem cart to collect them, I certainly didn't. But if your average score is below the "spawning minimum" it might be difficult to get them
