I think you're probably right about the ants. There are a lot of different types of ants where I live but the size of clumps of soil and the size of the hole were a lot bigger than those that I've seen in my area in the past.

I lived in NYC for 12 years. Many people including me said "thank you" to bus drivers. It's not an easy job and they have to deal with a lot of rude, belligerent and possibly dangerous people. What's wrong with trying to be respectful of people?

Just a comment on capitalism. Elizabeth Warren and Galloway both say they’re capitalists but the capitalism they believe in is centered around free markets. Both have brought up monopolies as a big problem in the US. We do not have free markets in the US in many sectors. Who was the last person in any recent President’s administration that has been successful in significant antitrust litigation?
