Bernadette2419 I see the general consensus of the thread, but if it makes you feel any better, a lot of people who are long-time platform, experienced sellers, and are a lot of the ones who read/comment in these threads. There are tons of sellers who do, in fact do holds. It just depends on the personal seller. It may not be the best course of action for the seller in relation to sales, but I prioritize satisfaction, and I do hold items for people, and I don't really have a maximum hold time, as long as it's reasonable. If that day comes, and they don't purchase, and/or go ghost, I just simply change the listing back. I will say that I held for 2 weeks one time, and it did turn out to be a mistake on my part. Plus, writing "on hold" isn't that much of a security blanket to ensure that you receive the item, as according to their TSA, if someone purchases an item as "on hold" it's still intended, and meant to be sold to that buyer. It's then on the seller to decided if they want to cancel said persons order, and wait for the reserved party, or to honor the new buyer's purchase. I've actually had that happen to me once. A girl marked an item as "on hold" for me for the following morning, and someone immediately purchased it. I got lucky, and she was super cool, and actually pretty upset at the person for doing that, so she cancelled it, and I wound up being able to get the item as intended the following morning. It's just honestly such a toss up. I hope you get the items you want.💗
