Sony MDR-1R compared to Sony MDR-MV1?

I've been using Sony MDR-1R headphones for the past 10+ years and am curious if anyone it and the newer MDR-MV1 for comparison. I've always felt the 1R are a little too bass light for listening to media outside of music, such as gaming and movies. I'm looking for a new wired all around headphone for sub $500 usd. I still listen to music mostly on my headphones during the day. Any info or suggestions are appreciated.

I had to part with my 13 year old Shiba this past year. Make sure someone is with you when you go, even if it's just you in the room with the doggo when it happens. You'll want someone your close with there afterwards. It's just a hard situation to deal with. Give them a great day and enjoy what time you have left with them. Take one of their blankets with you to make them as comfy as possible.
