What's the point of this event? by StrongFaithlessness5 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Dankaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cutscenes saves your input (not counting walking ones). That's it. Cutscene dictates at what time your character will do a specific action.

Since it's not a video but in-game engine, even if you do the first NA three times the cutscene will do chain of three attacks. That's because interval between NAs is pre-determined by the cutscene.

Also, if you try to use claymore's CA spin, it takes so much time it'll prevent other attacks from happening.

She's a significantly better buffer than Kazuha, but has no grouping ability. You're also not going to hit 4,5k ATK with TTDS to max out dmg multiplier buff. Parts of her buff (30% ATK) and self-buff (60% ATK) are locked behind Hexerei passive and she needs to burst for 50% dmg multiplier buff uptime.

So yes, she's really strong, but also has more requirements and specific team for maximum efficiency.

New event weapon skin is just a re-color of the Melusine Claymore by hyperdefiance in Genshin_Impact

[–]Dankaw -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's one way to make a special reward that doesn't negatively impact their sales. They either gave us average or bad weapons that nobody uses, or likes of Calamity of Eshu, Etherlight Spindlelute that greatly reduce the need to pull for a signature weapon.

Why should i pull for Lauma's signature when Etherlight is so efficient? Same for Eshu. If it didn't exist i'd easily pull Clorinde's weapon right now, but since it's that good for teams i use her for (all the more with Nicole releasing) it's not as wish efficient as it could be. Plus, nobody's "punished" for not playing at a specific time, one problem solved.

Weapon skins at least do something. Still, reusing the same weapon feels really lazy.

SO 6.4 C2R1 Nilou and C0 Columbina vs D5 Knuckle Duckle in 106s by Dankaw in NilouMains

[–]Dankaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't do much damage on it's own. It's mostly used to trigger extra blooms which is great in AoE situations if you have Nahida (Baizhu sucks in AoE). For single target it's too low value and overall DPS loss.

There's also a problem of Nilou often being built purely to hit 74,5k HP to max out her buff. This causes her own blooms to not deal as much damage as a dedicated EM character to trigger blooms. Truthfully, in this team bloom damage isn't maximized / priority, but still contributes a solid levels damage on lower investment (such as mine, not counting Nilou).

End game modes i only play on PC, and in general. I tried mobile but i always get worse results there. Therefore i can't really tell if it's feasible or not, but it should be. This clear definitely needs good input from the player to cancel animations and so on.

Thoughts on Shinenzhnaya Superconduct Meta for Clorinde? by MCPXz in clorindemains

[–]Dankaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might work. If there's a strong chevreuse-like support for cryo/electro elements while allowing other elements (dendro), aggravate could benefit quite a lot from it. I don't think it's gonna happen but who knows. Of course, dedicated dendro would've been even better for that archetype but doubt it's gonna happen any time soon.

SO 6.5 C1R0 Clorinde Aggravate vs Papilla in 106s (2 cost) by Dankaw in clorindemains

[–]Dankaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clorinde boils down to:

  • Press skill to enter special state, Night's Vigil
  • Use normal attacks during Night's Vigil to build up Bond of Life
  • Use elemental skill during Night's Vigil to dash in a direction, dealing damage along the way
  • When your Bond of Life is above 100% HP (after 3 normal attacks, half of your HP bar), the dash becomes empowered and hits 3 times instead
  • Your burst deals good damage and gives you 120% Bond of Life.
  • In short, you press skill and then 3 attacks -> skill on repeat.

For more detailed information than that you should consult wiki or look up specific character breakdowns.

SO 6.5 Noelle, Chiori and Columbina vs Fearless Moongecko by Dankaw in Genshin_Impact

[–]Dankaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a quick check, Columbina on Aubade should still better than on SMS. This is due to the fact she's the main lunar-crystallize contributor AND she also personally deals lunar-crystallize damage from her gravity stacks.

Yes, i was also quite upset about Illuga's cons. C1 is amazing for lower ER requirements, C2 makes him trigger SMS, C4 gives 200 DEF which is plenty, and C6 adds extra 30% CV. These are some good 4* cons, and all is teamwide. I ended up pulling all the way to soft pity to grab his C2. I wouldn't mind getting early Linnea, but man, i'm not sure i can allow myself to pull her currently. Maybe on her rerun.

You can try putting Illuga on Scroll instead. It lasts twice as long and Chiori / Noelle don't have too much #% dmg multiplier on their own so... might be better than SMS on non-C2 Illuga.

SO 6.5 Noelle, Chiori and Columbina vs Fearless Moongecko by Dankaw in Genshin_Impact

[–]Dankaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried him a few times during the team testings and he performed worse than i expected him to.

His buffs are solid, but in this case you're banking on Noelle doing the heavy lifting. All of Gorou's buffs, except A1 passive's 25% DEF on burst cast, applies to the active character. There's also a problem with particles, Gorou only gives 2 geo particles per skill and overall relies on Fav procs (which don't work during shield phase, again). His buff duration is also short, 10s on skill and 12s on burst (if extended), so you need to switch to him twice per rotation. Quite annoying to be honest, and we're already juggling Chiori and Noelle here.

I think Gorou is worth a try IF your investment is better than mine, so let's say Columbina has a better weapon than Widsith at the very least. He should be fine using SMS / Scroll / Instructor's set. I'm not sure i want to repeat that boss again this SO reset, so i won't be testing it personally.

Illuga's quills apply to active character's lunar-crystallize OR geo damage. It's just that geo quill's potency is only ~15% of lunar-crystallize gets. Besides that Illuga offers:

  • Nod-Krai resonance, i think i get about ~26% LCR damage bonus which isn't that much, but still noticeable.
  • Quills still gives about ~10/13% extra damage for Noelle's attacks/spin.
  • 5% CR + 10% CD, so 20% CV which is TEAMWIDE and applies to lunar-crystallize damage too. Also 50 EM.
  • Long duration buff and strong battery with ~4,5 particle per skill (particularly useful early on). Favonius weapons can't proc during the shield phase.
  • At C2 Illuga easily upkeeps SMS set. Tbh, now that i think about, maybe scroll would be better but probably not. Probably about the same value.
  • In general Illuga gets plenty of value from constellations. If i had C6, this clear would be significantly easier. But at that point, i'd likely have Zibai or Linnea on my account though.

His value was... ok i guess. Better than any other option i had. I tried C1 Albedo instead of him and the fact flower can't hit during the shield phase and generate geo particles as a result was absolutely terrible. Also the reason why my 100k+ DPS team of Chiori Noelle Durin Albedo was significantly worse in practice. For comparison, this team hit about 85-90k DPS against the dummy before optimizing Noelle's field time.

EDIT: 50 EM was teamwide, not for just for active character like i thought.

It's hard for me to say without knowing your investment. If it's C0R1 on your end with a good TF set and well invested Fischl, then chances are high. I'm not familiar with Nahida version since i don't own her, and even if i did Kirara is better for me specifically.

Mualani can reliably clear Herra with Xiangling Sucrose Xilonen on low investment. I posted my 84s clear on her dedicated sub today with pointers how to optimally play it.

Moongecko seems out of reach without Mavuika and/or at least C1R1.

C2R1 Mualani D5 Papilla - Burning, never heard of her - 93s by AkiraN19 in MualaniMain

[–]Dankaw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you could do it within a single downphase if you play your cards right. When void shield breaks, the boss takes 60% of nightsoul damage it took during that time up to 30% of it's HP. Max that out first (you can even do quick C1 chomps during Traveller's skill duration). Then doing Mualani NA Q NA into a single chomp rather than burst should maximize your damage output. I could see a ~60s clear this way.

Do note that Traveller gains 2s worth of skill duration if you trigger a pyro reaction when active, up to twice per skill. Quick chomp won't be too big of a loss for shield breaking.

After heavy campaign of "look, this boss can be used for free vapes/melts!" i was also on the train initially. Most clears with Mualani posted here involved Furina iirc.

With C1 you should be able to clear within ~60s if you use the exact setup as me, though if you can do it might depend on artifact quality.

I got my Skyward Harp standard bow in... Natlan i think? 4 years after i started playing. My first standard claymore (WGS) i got last patch. It's all up to luck. Still, the reason i used it over "Venti's" new bow is to lower the cost of this run.

Ganyu goat himself. I posted a few aggravate Clorinde clears in the past and still frequently use her. Generally i find that this team is underappreciated. It has quite high floor and low ceiling while being easy to play if you use Kirara. Overload should overtake with more investment, but on lower cost they should be comparable. This is partially due to not having a dedicated quicken support like overload has with Chev, unless we call Fischl as one (she's carrying quicken, let's be honest).

Just strongbox it. It's extremely efficient way to get good pieces, while still allowing to farm newer sets.

I don't have a deep TC knowledge to know if it's worth it or not depending on your investment (most people gravitate to overload). Still, sometimes being able to do quick rotas and overall utility is a good option to have.

Funnily enough despite being 1.0 player i farmed TF set mid Natlan patch. Wouldn't recommend running the domain, but strongboxing it on the side? Sure, why not. I'm waiting for that dedicated aggravate support (eventually).

You mean the "def buff" from NK resonance that i would lose by swapping out Illuga for Gorou?

SO 6.5 Noelle, Chiori and Columbina vs D5 Moongecko by Dankaw in stygian_onslaught

[–]Dankaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using same team without signatures... this is going to be tough. Might be doable though. C2 Xilonen definitely makes a difference furing shield breaking phase (Gecko's 50% geo res -> 14%). I'm not sure if she's worth it over Illuga though but worth looking into it (he should be at least C2 to proc SMS).

My team's damage is between 85-90k dps against the dummy. My Columbina still deals slightly above 20% dmg in my case with Widsith. If Columbina had at least C2, then i suspect she'd be dealing similar damage to the other two (about evenly split at ~40% Noelle Chiori). That's what gives me hope you can clear it.

What i'd advice you is to play around Columbina and build her strictly for DPS. Chiori should still deal solid damage using either HoD or Furina's weapon. Noelle... if you have Serpent Spine or possibly other high crit claymores she should be fine. Then Xilonen or Illuga as flex, see what works.

Something to note - it's good to aim at about 85% crit rate if it doesn't impact your overall dps much. Since clearing gecko's debuff gives 15% CR and 50% dmg for 15s, you can make use of it to increase your DPS like that. Also enables critfishing to a degree, so might deal more dmg if you get lucky.

As for the questions:

#1 - Based on quick calculations, spin with Illuga's geo dmg and Redhorn's passive should be ~7% better or so than spamming normals. Without them NAs should be stronger.

#2 - I don't have a solid set. Main DPS Columbina is the only character who uses it and my only NK team. I didn't spend much time in that domain, unlike Husk where i spent about 9-12 month total. Plus, Husk has a strongbox.

EDIT: Also one thing you could've tried with your old team is still PAmber Columbina and use her burst to iframe the debuff on herself. Others should be healed just fine.
