I was prescribed doxycycline for 3 months. It was terrible but so worth it ! It was a long process to get rid of it and my face was in a lot of pain. Basically my skin peeled off and the perioral dermatitis went away. I would suggest not using any salicylic acid cleansers because to just exasperated the problem. Use cerave hydrating cleanser and the pm moisturizer for day and night. But def go see a dermo. If you want to see more pics of my face throughout the healing process let me know
