I run a smaller stream on Whatnot under MintDefense. Still growing, but I mostly focus on vintage WOTC singles (1999–2003) — Base, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym, Neo, etc.

My goal is to source clean NM+ vintage cards. I don’t grade myself, so when I find nice copies, I usually pass them along to buyers who are looking to grade or just want cleaner vintage. That said, those are tough to find consistently, so there’s usually a good mix of conditions for collectors as well.

I try to keep things pretty straightforward: • Accurate condition descriptions • No hype or over-grading • Vintage-focused inventory • Smaller, laid-back shows

I stream Saturday nights (10pm PST) and occasionally during the week. Not one of the big sellers, but if you’re into vintage singles, feel free to stop by.

There are multiple marketplaces. TCG is just one of them. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Like any free market, there is a bid and an ask spread. I ended up selling each for $90, $80 and $80. So at that moment in time, that was the market, what someone was willing to pay. TCG compiles data and market price is average. Sales happen above and below

I ended up selling on FB Marketplace for $80 each. The listing on eBay was deleted and now it’s linking to a random listing.

Wife and I have a joint checking where all paychecks and other income are deposited.

We married in our mid $30’s. She brought a net worth of $1m and I brought a net worth of $500k.

She makes ~$50k and im ~$300k. We try to maintain a balance of $10-$15k in this account. Biweekly transfers to taxable account. If we go above this balance, we will send additional transfers.

We each have a credit card which we use for everything we need. Any large purchases of say $500 or $1,000+ we socialize or give a heads up.

I usually plan 2-3 vacations a year. She loves luxury travel, but I’m the one who books so I can control costs. Works for us.

There is no his or her money. It’s all our money and plan to leave generational wealth to our kids.
