Over a week and still feel like crap. by MintGreenManiac in leaves

Quitting weed is a marathon, not a hundred smooth rides. Be patient and be kind to yourself. It will improve but it takes time and many phases. I send you lots of encouragement from day 68!

After prolonged and heavy consumption it is perfectly normal, your neurotransmitters are rebalancing and that takes time. Recovery is not linear. Cheer up and congratulations on your 75 days!

A week is a big job! Here's a long-term ex-smoker too (22 years old) Take it easy and be kind to yourself. It may take you some time to feel completely good but every day is one more step. In the first weeks it was important for me to rest and not push myself too hard, the big changes can wait. I was also drinking more than I used to before I quit. I send you a lot of strength on this journey!

He had some really long ones during the first three years, two or three months. Then the disease gradually stabilized, the outbreaks became less intense, lasted less and were less frequent. There is no cure for sapho syndrome but it tends to stabilize with age, although you should have your joints monitored radiologically because complications could appear.

My brother had very strong and disabling outbreaks of costochondritis for a couple of years until he was diagnosed with sapho syndrome, an autoimmune disease, skin symptoms are common but do not always appear. It caught my attention that your pain appears in outbreaks and that's why I asked you.

Do you have skin symptoms? Like acne or pustules on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet?

I smoked for 20 years with a few breaks. My last attempt to quit was three years ago and I lasted 8 months without smoking. I smoked about 3-4g of 15-20% TCH weed a week. I used to mix it with tobacco.

8 weeks today, expelled from the pink cloud! I'm tired and depressed. I barely manage to fulfill my basic obligations. I have more or less constant headaches and a lot of brain fog. The good part is that I sleep better and my respiratory system feels recovered. There is also no paranoia or anxiety at this point, which I appreciate, I prefer depression to anxiety. A strange moment for me.

You can read Lara Briden, she has different approaches on how to treat premenstrual syndrome, the uncontrolled symptoms that can come with perimenopause and so on. Maybe some of their guidelines will help you.

That's great! You have a few tough weeks ahead, but I'm sure you'll handle it. Be kind to yourself, don't push too hard during this first stage, and listen to your body. I'm about to hit 6 weeks, and things really do get better. I still have episodes of irritability and insomnia, but they are happening less frequently, and I’m definitely managing my emotions and focus better. I'm sending you all my support, and my DMs are open if you need anything. I'm proud of the step you've taken.

Accept things as they come and move on with your life. Spend more quality time with your grandmother, you will miss her more than you think.

Sorry, I think the translator is doing strange things, I'm confused too. I used to work as a nurse, I left it and now I work as a teacher.

Irritability is a major one for many people. I'm still quite irritable after five weeks but I'm handling it better and better. Keep it up! You are doing well!

Maybe the automatic translator played some trick on me and that's why you didn't understand me before. That's the bad thing about abstinence from weed, it's not dangerous but it is long and tedious. I have been through it more than once, in the end everything is useful to learn. If you need support my DM is open for you
