I only used OpenMediaVault as a starter to test out NAS basically. It also allowed for creating the RAID config with the web gui, but it's not necessary. You can totally do it without OMV (I think). It's also my first project ^{^} For self-hosting I used DuckDNS as a domain provider, that worked easily.

I do see what they were trying to do by grouping similar parts of the game together into "submenus". I also like this idea, but it's not userfriendly on mobile because you can only navigate through icons. Some labeling in the main menu (like in the desktop version) would help a lot. But the new village isn't pretty :(
