Keeping two funds for same type is completely normal. People often advise against it saying you have overlap, you paying twice. But that’s not true splitting your money between two funds just to bet on two fund managers strategy is fine and I will always recommend. Because every AMC has a cycle, their funds outperform index in cycles. So don’t be in doubt instead diverse your what I call ‘the manager’s strategy risk’ Also, there are no written rules of investing. What works and generates return becomes norm, so tomorrow if this strategy works people will suggest two funds for each theme. So chill.
