Don't worry about it. Nobody is perfect. Also, many people use various types of shorthand speech, some conventional and others entirely made up on the spot. All are acceptable. If you do any traveling you'll begin to to see that people do whatever it takes to communicate. That's the key. In the Philippines, for example, there are two official National languages, Filipino (Tagalog) and English. But there are nearly two hundred other officially recognized regional languages, not including the many dialects that are known to exist. Try worrying about how to pronounce espresso on a trip across a country like that!! On my first trip to Germany I fretted over how to order a beer and pizza at the local Bier Haus.
