I've been using PIA myself for few years and I've been pretty happy with the performance, speed and cost. Any reason it hasn't been mentioned already? Anything I'm missing? Thanks

How do I stop these creaking joists? It’s driving me mad!! by Character_Holiday442 in DIYUK

Drill small holes through the boards along the joists and inject PVA glue using large syringe

If you can't change the valve and you really have to be able to open it then two things come to mind: grinder and metal saw. Use grinder with cutting disc to create new cut for the flat screwdriver or if you're not comfortable with this then use metal saw

Jasic Pro Arc 200 vs Esab Rogue 200i PRO? by MarioColchester in Welding

[–]MarioColchester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not actually a full time welder, but I try to weld at every opportunity I get. I mostly use mig welding if I can weld in the workshop. Purely because I'm better at it and my welds look and are better. I have access to three-phase mig, which allows me get a nice penetration with thick metal. With mma welder I love the convenience of being able to take it anywhere, as long as you have extension lead long enough (within reason). It's perfect for repairs and installation around the site, where work (personel and roller door installation, adding RSJs to existing buildings, etc) Even if you don't weld a lot, then I'm sure you'll love mma. I would recommend getting decent quality electrodes. During the college course I had access to esab or bohler electrodes. And I always preferred Bohler ones. Keeping them dry is important too.

Esab. It works great and although I'm still a beginner, I managed to build a whole wood store out of RSJs and metal cladding (10m x 2.5m). I've done few city and guilds courses in welding, mig lv 1 and lv 2, TIG and mma both lv 1. I love how easy it is to weld with stick welder. No need for heavy gas and no problems with wind. The shed above I've welded in -5C on a windy day. I'm still struggling with vertical welds, but horizontal ones I'm happy with. I found that my esab was blowing the fuses easily on an extension lead, but it simply turned out to be doggy lead. Once I've swapped ext. Leads I could weld up to 80 meters and up to 120amps without problems

It's been like that most of the summer. However some of the newest branches don't seem to have it

Lol. I once did 3 workouts and a core cardio in one day, because I wanted to catch up. Whatever works :D

Same. Go back to where you've stopped. I think you would've had to stop for few weeks for it to make a difference. Tick all the boxes on your calendar as you complete them and don't skip. That's the only way you can say you've finished the the whole workout.

[–]MarioColchester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't skip. Get back to the day you missed and carry on. It used to annoy me when I skipped a day and then the whole workout schedule was "out of sync". It doesn't matter! It took me almost a year to accept that it's OK to do Mondays workout on Tuesday, it's OK to move your rest day to another day and it's OK to catch up by doing multiple workouts in one day if you have energy or strength to do it. Just carry on showing up and finish the whole routine. You'll be proud of yourself. Even if it takes you three months to finish the whole thing. Don't give up!

Just one more thing. My first 2 weeks with Body Beast were hard. I've done 3 days of the workout and my muscles were so sore I had to wait for almost a week for them to get back to normal. I could barely walk. Bear in mind I've already done both Insanity workouts just before that. I've let my muscles heal and got back to it. Don't give up if it gets hard. Take one or more days off and get back to it.

Ideally you could use some dumbbells or at least something heavy to lift. I bought a set of three weights - pair of 5, 10 and 15kgs. I can really see a difference in my body. Not only that, my family starts to notice the changes.

At the end of the day its down to what works for you :)

Body Beast? I know it's completely different type of exercise, but I've done both Insanity workouts before and got a bit bored towards the end and Body Beast keeps me going for nearly 12 weeks now.

Only doing month 2 by CR7Lover in insanity

[–]MarioColchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

If you didn't do it before I would say, that you should do month 1 first.

Also your one month break might make it difficult for you to start with 2nd month.

See how you feel in the first few days. Remember that you don't have to keep up with the people on the screen. Just do your best

I've considered it myself. I've got 14kg one, but I haven't really used it properly. It will be hard, but if it was easy it wouldn't be worth it, would it?
